EM078: How to Take That Next Step of Faith, with Kelly and Cyndi Robinette Jun 27, 2015

Show notes

Kelly and Cyndi Robinette are an amazing couple but come from extremely different backgrounds. Kelly considers himself the least likely person to be involved in any kind of ministry, while Cyndi was raised in a pastor’s home. Now they serve in Cambodia and have been on the mission field for over 28 years.

I was able to catch up with them in person while they were in the U.S. on furlough. It was an amazing treat to sit down at their dining room to talk about the wide variety of outreaches and job training they do.

I was inspired by what God’s already done in their lives and ministry. And I picked up a few tidbits about prayer as well as how they are able to reach entire families by reaching out to a particular person in each family.

(hint – it’s probably not who you expect)

I was inspired, challenged, and encouraged. I think you will be too.

Three ways to be involved in missions

Pray – Make a list and bring them before God every day.
Give – Set aside a portion of every paycheck to go towards missions. Allow God to stretch you.
Go – Not everyone can go. But some can.

EM071: How God’s Love Makes all the Difference in Romania, with Chris and Beth Kent Jun 20, 2015

Show notes

From a comfortable life in the United Kingdom, God has moved Chris and Beth Kent to Romania. As we talked, they shared what they've learned and seen God do as they've ministered to abandoned children and gypsies.

Chris and Beth were enjoying a very affluent lifestyle in Surrey, UK. They enjoyed going out for meals and the nice things that life offered. But they’d begun to feel bored and like God had more for them.

Perhaps the hardest things about moving to Romania have been coffee withdrawals and leaving behind a sewing machine.

Chris and Beth want their life to be more than just words. More, even, than just actions. They want it to be tangible and to connect with people.
