This week, Tommy is joined by actor Michael Mando who is finally returning to the MCU as Scorpion in Spiderman: Brand New Day. You may know Michael from his unforgettable performances as Nacho Varga in Better Call Saul and Far Cry 3, but he is picking up the pieces from his cameo in Spiderman: Homecoming and returning to the role of Mac Gargan/Scorpion in what has been a highly anticipated return. Today, Michael opens up about if he knew he would be returning back to the MCU when he signed on to play Scorpion almost 10 years ago, that scene of his cut from Spiderman: Homecoming, the moment that Scorpion made him feel petrified, what playing a villain in the MCU means to him, why he loved working with Tom Holland, what it was like watching him transform into Spiderman up close, the training involved in playing Scorpion, why community is so important when filming a movie like this, if he’s heard anything about Scorpion eventually turning into Venom, his personal connection to Venom as both a kid and adult, voicing Bane in Batman: Knightfall - Part 1, how he helped shape the actual animation of this character, joining Kevin Hart in 72 Hours on Netflix, his unconventional journey towards becoming an actor, if he would reprise his role in a Better Call Saul reboot, why rejection has fueled him even harder over the years, what he will never say to you and so much more. And catch the mini rapid-fire “Hot Takes and Hangouts” interview with Michael out on Thursday, July 30th!
