Show notes
This week, Tommy is joined by the one and only Rachael Ray. Rachael is a brilliant cook, television personality, businesswoman, best-selling author, philanthropist and a brand new podcast host…just to name a few of the many hats she wears. She rose to fame through her iconic series on the Food Network, 30 Minute Meals, before landing her own daily daytime talk show, The Rachael Ray Show, which went on for an impressive 17 seasons. When the show premiered, Rachael was immediately embraced by critics across the country. Time Magazine wrote, "You can't attract her kind of following by just being accessible. Ray, like Regis Philbin, is gifted at being on television." Newsweek praised Rachael as being "the most down-to-earth TV star on the planet,” and Forbes voted her #2 Most Trusted Celebrity. Today, Rachael opens up about why she has never looked back but instead only forward in her career, how she felt after choosing to wrap up her daytime talk show after almost two decades, why nothing makes her happier than putting in a hard day of work, the people along the way of her career who made a really big impact, how she has never paid attention to gossip or negative chatter, why she never has let fear dictate her life, the importance of continuing to learn something new no matter how much success you have, what made her want to jump into the podcast world, what’s next for the woman who has done it all, and so much more.
