Show notes
This week, Tommy is joined by reality TV royalty, Stassi Schroeder, who rose to fame over eight seasons of Vanderpump Rules. She has three New York Times bestselling books, wildly successful podcasts, and a brand new show, House of Stassi, out now. Today, Stassi opens up about what its been like growing up in the intense public eye throughout her 20’s and beyond, why she tried to be more like Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl than herself during the early days of Vanderpump Rules, why she distanced herself from the show for years, what ultimately drew her back to reality TV with Vanderpump Villa, whether she always trusted Lisa Vanderpump, and why she refuses to let Vanderpump Rules define her legacy. She also reveals the one non-negotiable she had before returning for House of Stassi, why she wanted Katie Maloney to appear on the show after their falling out, what it's really like balancing work and parenthood alongside her husband Beau Clark, how she navigates mom guilt, why both working moms and stay at home moms are superheros, what she hopes her children will one day be proud of, the biggest life lesson she's learned from her years on reality TV, the one aspiration she has absolutely no interest in pursuing, the unforgettable advice her grandmother gave her, and so much more. Be sure to catch Part 2 (Tommy's rapid-fire "Hot Takes & Hangouts" interview with Stassi) this Thursday, August 6.
