Show notes

Public land spring bear hunting in late June can be difficult. It can be in the 90's one day and overcast the next topping out in the 50's. This podcast is story time around a 24 hour bomb run spring bear hunt in Idaho with my friends at onXhunt. We do serious work in a short amount of time in the name of predator management, smack dab in the middle of an elk calf nursery.

Body slamming the monkey on your back Jun 20, 2022

Show notes

Caje Golden and his good friend Billy won the Alaska bear trip with the elk shape team and Hunting Fool. We are going to motivate you all to go hunt black bears in Alaska. This trip is all about great views with some great people. Jerrod Lile CEO of Hunting Fool has been on this hunt multiple times and showed us the ropes. He was also responsible for the internment as you will hear. Caje is a die hard bow hunter with lots of reps in the field. He has done this from being a hunting guide in Montana. The hole team lived on a boat for five days. Fish in the morning and hunt the later part of the day. With twenty hours of light you cane get a lot done. Some good shots were made and some not so good ones as well. Mentally once you know you have made a bad shot it is up to you to hold on to it or BODY SLAM it off.

Bonus: Alaska Spring Bear RECAP Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

We gave away a hunt in Alaska to one of our lucky YouTube Subscribers. We also let them pick a friend to join them on the hunt as well. The hunt was sponsored by Huntin' Fool and we took off out of Homer, Alaska on a charter boat for some fishing and spring bear hunting. The charter service we hired was Ninilchik Charters and this was a DIY bear hunt. Producer Tim and I sit down and discuss the trip and try to sell you on trying out this adventure!
