Ep. 268: Experiments In Tension, Pt. 3 - Death Of The Infinite Melancholy Sep 13, 2019

Show notes

When you don't think you can go on any further, when all is broken and seemingly lost, you look at the pieces of what remains -- it's just you. And though you may not be what you once were, you came out through the other side. You're here. You made it. The final installment of MrPanda's Experiments In Tension highlights this breakthrough. It's a release. You're letting go. And it's almost defiant in its statement. Death Of The Infinite Melancholy is a 60 minute, harder-hitting Drum 'n' Bass mix for good reason. It's a declaration of personal victory -- one that came with scars and complex memories but a victory nonetheless. You can look back and see "there was light on the edge of the dark side." And one final time you say, "So I let you go," as you give yourself to the music...

Ep. 268: Experiments In Tension, Pt. 2 - One Step Forward Two Steps Back Sep 13, 2019

Show notes

Let's waste no time and dive into Part 2 of MrPanda's Experiments In Tension episode. This 52 minute Liquid DnB mix is themed around cautious hope, the chemistry between 2 people and all of the energy that exudes. It's beautiful and euphoric with a touch of the frenetic and sometimes chaotic. As such, it's titled One Step Forward Two Steps Back and explores the fascinating dichotomy relationships bring. It feels as though MrPanda has tapped into something within all of us in this mix -- something sublime, yet dire. And the music continues...

Ep. 268: Experiments In Tension, Pt. 1 - Loss & Rediscovery Of Self Sep 13, 2019

Show notes

Happy New Year, friends! We're excited to embark on another year of great music together! To celebrate the occasion, we have the incredibly talented MrPanda (TheLostArt, Badwolf Entertainment) back on our airwaves for his 5th episode -- an epic, deeply personal 3 part mix series entitled Experiments In Tension. The title stems from music theory, specifically in Jazz, where dissonance is used to create feelings of tension and release. It's aptly named as these 3 mixes represent the ups & downs, ebbs & flows within relationships and strike an intensely personal chord with MrPanda himself. Part 1 is dubbed Loss & Rediscovery Of Self and features 60 minutes of energetic Liquid Drum & Bass tunes. It presents a path of rediscovering one's self after loss and starting anew. We hope you join us on this spiritual journey. Filled with passion. Healing. And music...

It's an homage to their good 'ole days: going to music festivals, stylin' in LA clubs and staying up together until the sun came out. Lace up those dancing shoes, grab your loved one and ring in the new year together! Keep the music loud!
