Join Zac and Nate this week as they break down a Rabbinic holiday known as Lag Ba'Omer and the strange fire it presents in the shadow of the authentic Fire afforded us through Christ at Pentecost. Today there are many people trying to replicate what God is doing in others lives, through others lives, and what God has done for/through others in the past, instead of surrendering their lives over to Jesus personally and inheriting the life and resurrection power that comes from Him alone. From the days of the magicians in Egypt, to the mystics in Israel, to the "spiritual" mystics of our day, a lot of people are looking to ride the coattails of another persons personal walk with the pillar of fire Himself, but without the surrender, transformation, and holy lifestyle we are all called to walk. This is a strange fire, not the holy fire from above. It is an imitation rather than the substance of the real thing.
