Two hundred years ago, geologists determined that there was never a worldwide flood.
But the early geologists’ conclusion—which continues to be believed today—is indisputably erroneous, according to Michael Jaye, Ph.D.
Told in easily understood language, Jaye explains how geologists got it so wrong, and more importantly, he challenges their modern-day peers to examine foundational beliefs, especially in the presence of new map data. Along the way, he identifies and rectifies geology’s historic error and its consequences, answering questions such as:
• Why do geologists believe that there was never a worldwide flood? How is this belief erroneous?
• How did submerged structures like Monterey Canyon form? What process do geologists ascribe to their formation?
• In what way are Google Earth and Google Maps similar to Galileo’s telescope?
With new map data revealing submerged rivers in more than two miles of water, it’s clear that such a volume could only have a cosmic source.

Irving Finkel: The Ark Before Noah: Decoding the Story of the Flood Jul 28, 2018

The recent translation of a Babylonian tablet launches a groundbreaking investigation into one of the most famous stories in the world, challenging the way we look at ancient history.
Since the Victorian period, it has been understood that the story of Noah, iconic in the Book of Genesis, and a central motif in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, derives from a much older story that existed centuries before in ancient Babylon. But the relationship between the Babylonian and biblical traditions was shrouded in mystery. Then, in 2009, Irving Finkel, a curator at the British Museum and a world authority on ancient Mesopotamia, found himself playing detective when a member of the public arrived at the museum with an intriguing cuneiform tablet from a family collection. Not only did the tablet reveal a new version of the Babylonian Flood Story; the ancient poet described the size and completely unexpected shape of the ark, and gave detailed boat building specifications. Decoding this ancient message wedge by cuneiform wedge, Dr. Finkel discovered where the Babylonians believed the ark came to rest and developed a new explanation of how the old story ultimately found its way into the Bible. In The Ark Before Noah, Dr. Finkel takes us on an adventurous voyage of discovery, opening the door to an enthralling world of ancient voices and new meanings.
Dr. Irving Finkel is Assistant Keeper of ancient Mesopotamian script, languages, and cultures at the British Museum. He is the curator in charge of cuneiform inscriptions on tablets of clay from ancient Mesopotamia, of which the Middle East Department has the largest collection of any modern museum.

Seeking to identify the plant origins of the early sacramental beverages Soma and Haoma (Cannabis), this study draws a connection between the psychoactive properties of these drinks and the widespread use of cannabis among Indo-Europeans during this time. Exploring the role of these libations as inspiration for the Indian Rig Veda and the Persian Avestan texts, this examination discusses the spread of cannabis use across Europe and Asia, the origins of the Soma and Haoma cults, and the shamanic origins of modern religion.
Chris Bennett has been researching the historical role of cannabis in the spiritual life of humanity for more than a quarter century. He is the co-author of Green Gold the Tree of Life: Marijuana in Magic and Religion (1995); Sex, Drugs, Violence and the Bible (2001); and the author of Cannabis and the Soma Solution (2010). He has contributed chapters on this subject for a number of published anthologies as well as numerous articles for various magazines. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Dave Truman is a writer, researcher and traveller, who divides his time between South America and the Wirral Peninsula in England. In the past, he has worked as a lecturer and civil servant, but more recently organised the highly successful Beyond Knowledge Conferences in Liverpool, England in 2008 and 2009.
He has written articles for Cort Lindahl’s True History Journal on South American geomancy, has appeared as a guest on Sweden’s Red Ice Radio and was a speaker the North of England’s Mysterious Earth Conference in 2014. Dave’s other interests include geopolitics, and in pursuit of this, he has written articles for the Los Angeles based on line publication End the Lie. His contributions provided a critique of the influence of globalisation on contemporary Latin America and its politicians.
Over the last four years, he has been doing research for his forthcoming book, to which he has given the working title, Lost Science in the Andes: understanding the minds that shaped the great civilisation of the Ice Age. The article he has written for Ancient Explorers captures but a small part of this engaging and paradigm challenging investigation.

?For centuries, researchers have been debating if, in pre-Columbian times, meaningful exchanges between the indigenous peoples of Asia and the Americas might have taken place.? Many sinologists have written positively on this topic, yet, so far, no conclusive proof has been put forth establishing such trans-Pacific contact as a historical event.?
The primary report of this study, simply referred to as Asiatic Echoes, presents the reader with written evidence that in pre-Columbian times, and on multiple occasions, such historic trans-Pacific exchanges indeed took place. Using the novel integration of the legal construct of substantial similarity with the comparative statistical tool of the Jaccard Similarity Coefficient, the Chinese origin of 107 previously unrecognized North American petroglyphs and pictographs is established. For each of these pictogram-glyphs an analytical comparative statistic has been generated for the sometimes-obvious similarity of each symbol's line strokes with the corresponding features of an equally ancient and complex Chinese script pictogram. ??

Hakan Ogun: The Lost Underground City of Derinkuyu Jun 02, 2018

The Derinkuyu underground city is an ancient multi-level underground city in the Derinkuyudistrict in Nevsehir Province, Turkey. Extending to a depth of approximately 60 m (200 feet), it is large enough to have sheltered as many as 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores. It is the largest excavated underground city in Turkey and is one of several underground complexes found across Cappadocia.
The underground city at Derinkuyu could be closed from the inside with large stone doors. Each floor could be closed off separately.
The city could accommodate as many as 20,000 people and had all the usual amenities found in other underground complexes across Cappadocia, such as wine and oil presses, stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, and chapels.
