ESPN unveiled their QB tiers yesterday for college football QBs…where does Anthony Colandrea stack up with the rest? May 27, 2026

Show notes

-Colandrea was listed in Tier 6: Welcome to the big leagues, alongside 2 other QBs….Auburn’s Byrum Brown (from USF); and Oklahoma

State’s Drew Mestemaker (from North Texas). David Hale’s article points out that Colandrea’s 74.9 QBR last season would have been

the best for any Husker QB since at least 2004 (yes, we know---the Mountain West isn’t the B1G….but still)….

-Colandrea also went up 27.8 in QBR from 2024 to 2025…going from Virginia to UNLV can do that…how does he stack up vs. the rest?

Sip is the king of despising moral victories….so he has to hate what Cavs’ head coach Kenny Atkinson is saying about his team’s losses to the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals May 26, 2026

Show notes

-Jake and Sip have argued for years about moral victories---Jake doesn’t necessarily think they are OK but Sip is very against them---and this

weekend, Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson said that despite being down 3-0 in the series, the Cavs have ‘analytically’ won 2 of the 3 games

-He pointed out that in Game 3, the Cavs shot “way below” what they were expected and the Knicks shot “way above”…which of course is a

ridiculous thing to say…why would any coach ever say something about analytics when they’ve lost?
