Show notes

-Desperate to get their first win in conference play this season, Nebraska looked like they’d do it for 38 of 40 minutes against Rutgers, and then folded like usual in a 3 point loss

-Optimists will say that they are close and showed it in that performance, but pessimists—who might just be realists---realize that nothing has changed

If winning cures all, will people who dislike NIL change their mind on it if it helps Nebraska win? Jan 28, 2022

Show notes

-This is the argument that the supporters all want to hear, to see if the opposers of NIL are really against it no matter what, or if they’ll be in favor of it if it starts to help Nebraska out

-Now, you can say it’s already helped Nebraska out in getting players out of the portal, but we’re talking about it mattering on the field. People opposed to it can still say whatever they want right now with results not helping yet (yes, it’s early in NIL)

-If Nebraska lands a star 5-star pass rusher, it’s going to be hard to find someone who is opposed to NIL in that moment
