We hate to keep beating a dead horse, but it’s really time to move on from the current Nebrasketball regime Feb 07, 2022

Show notes

-In a year—and era---of new lows seemingly every week, it surely found the lowest of all on Saturday, as Fred Hoiberg’s squad trailed Northwestern by as many as 35 points, before ultimately losing, 87-63, in Lincoln

-Sip has been as optimistic as possible this year, but even his optimism died in watching Nebraska play on Saturday. The Huskers are now 0-12 in conference play, and 6-17 overall

-If you want an incredibly depressing stat, Nebraska football and men’s basketball have won exactly one game of 20 conference games this year---the football team’s 56-7 triumph over Northwestern. YIKES

Can you build a program through the transfer portal or is just a permanent duct tape approach? Feb 04, 2022

Show notes

-Jake was thinking yesterday that NIL helps Nebraska more when it comes to the portal vs. when it comes to getting high schoolers—is that a correct thought or not?

-Can the transfer portal be viewed as anything else but duct tape? Is that how we can view Nebraska? A ‘duct tape program’?

-Maybe this is a new description we can use in college football—and basketball.
