How confident are you that Casey Thompson is a better quarterback than Adrian Martinez? Apr 14, 2022

Show notes

-Now that spring football is gone, it’s time to ask the question. If you expect the offense to be better than last year, is it simply because of the new QB or not?

-Is it fair to think Thompson can be way better than Martinez or what’s his ceiling in comparison to Adrian in how much better he can be? Is it more of a ‘wash’ than anything?

-Would be interesting to see what Frost and WRs on offense who were here last year feel about the comparison between the 2

Will you be proud of Nebraska if they end up being on the highest echelon of spending in NIL or instead feel like they’re selling their soul to win? Apr 13, 2022

Show notes

-And keep in mind---there’s no guarantee they win. We laugh all the time at teams like the Yankees and Red Sox in baseball who spend tons of money and we love when they fail

-If we find out whenever stats come out after the first year of NIL what Nebraska spend vs. other schools and it’s toward the top, will you feel good about that or squirm at all?

Are sporting events at their best in good weather or in crappy weather? Apr 13, 2022

Show notes

-Husker baseball played Creighton last night and the game was moved up 30 minutes for first pitch because of storms coming, but it didn’t prevent the game to be affected by huge winds

-Some of the most memorable games in sports come from bad weather (torrential rain, snow, wind, etc.)….does that make them the BEST or not? Should we desire that?

If you could choose a guaranteed win this upcoming year, would you choose the Northwestern game in Ireland or the Oklahoma game in Lincoln? Apr 12, 2022

Show notes

-SCHEDULE TALK!!! The offseason is here. But, this one is interesting. If you beat Northwestern, it’s in Week Zero with the nation watching as you travel to Ireland, and winning the first game with Casey Thompson. Also, if you lose the first game of the season (again)…YIKES

-But what if you lost to Northwestern and then won 3 straight including the Oklahoma game? Casey Thompson’s revenge game against the Sooners after last year’s big comeback against Texas?

-Where do fans go with their answers??
