-ESPN’s Mark Schlabach put together his early Top 25 (which of course means nothing right now), but only one team in the West was ranked---Iowa at No. 25

-That’s probably why, even more, that Nebraska needs to get to a bowl game—your own division doesn’t appear to be very strong at all

Show notes

-Oscar Tshiebwe was likely to be a lottery pick but is opting to stay at Kentucky with the plan being to have a NIL deal of $2 million or more

The depth on the defensive line takes another big hit for Nebraska as Casey Rogers announces he’s entering the transfer portal Apr 21, 2022

Show notes

-Uh, oh. Rogers was never a star on the line but he certainly was important, and unfortunately missed the Spring because of an injury suffered on the final play against Iowa in November

-Nebraska now has 3 scholarship defensive tackles and 5 scholarship defensive ends, with the oldest of those being Tate Wildeman, who has 1 tackle in 4 career games

-This is not good. And it makes Ochaun Mathis (or any sort of defensive lineman) all the more important in “portal season”
