The Big 12 vs. The State of Texas may very well be a thing in the ongoing issue of Brendan Sorsby’s eligibility Jun 16, 2026

Show notes

-On Monday, the Big 12 filed a legal complaint against Texas Tech, seeking to confirm its authority to enforce conference bylaws if

Sorsby is allowed to play by the school this year; the issue now is whether the Big 12 can impose internal discipline on a member

institution while state officials threaten legal action over that same conduct

-Also, update on yesterday’s CWS games…Jake was at Blur Parties once again in Omaha…not as busy as Friday

If there was ever a championship parade to be at, it might be the Knicks’ title parade on Thursday in Manhattan Jun 15, 2026

Show notes

-As we discussed to start off the show, the Knicks’ run to the title was phenomenal and incredibly impressive---and their title parade is set for

Thursday

-Even better---it will be the first parade in franchise history, as they didn’t have one when they won the title in 1973. Biggest city in the country,

first ever title parade….it’s going to be glorious chaos

Show notes

-This is a bit awkward because we love our guy Mekhi Nelson and his father---Rashawn!—who listens to our show every day….but competition

is needed and maybe there’s a path to both being very successful at Nebraska. What’s the outlook there for a breakout?

-We talked earlier in the show about the best position groups at Nebraska…DL wouldn’t be listed likely as tops, but maybe Whittington can be

Banana Ball filled Memorial Stadium on Saturday…with pretty much 100% approval from the fans Jun 15, 2026

Show notes

-Think about that for a second---fans have been filling the stadium since 1962 and often times leave with a sour taste in their mouth. Outside of

a few concerts here and there, and the Volleyball Day in Nebraska…it’s not often you can leave a packed stadium knowing you’ll be happy

-No one really cares about who wins in the Savannah Bananas games, and seeing Tom Osborne being honored just makes it more of a party like

it was…

This is not an NBA show, BUT----the Knicks winning the NBA Championship has to give the most downtrodden fanbases hope for the future Jun 15, 2026

Show notes

-On Saturday night, the Knicks came back---again---on the road to beat the Spurs, 94-90, and win the NBA Finals in 5 games. The Knicks went

16-3 in the postseason, which is obviously remarkable---and 3 of the 5 biggest comebacks in the history of the NBA Finals en route to their title

-We know our listeners don’t love the NBA, and frankly---neither do we---but when a team with as fervent as a fanbase as the Knicks wins their

first title in 53 years, it has to give fans from all sports hope for their teams---even Jake’s Dolphins---right?
