Tiger Woods won’t play in the U.S. Open, and the PGA Tour if getting raided by Greg Norman’s LIV Tour / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

-It’s been a bad week for the PGA Tour. Tiger Woods announced Tuesday he isn’t healthy enough right now to play in next week’s U.S. Open, so he withdrew, and the Saudi Arabian-funded LIV Tour is stealing Tour members left and right

-Dustin Johnson is among the big names who have left the PGA Tour for the LIV Tour, who have an event in London to kick things off. You can only watch on YouTube or Facebook.

-Are you intrigued by this as another way to watch golf or is it going to just water down everything?

A list of the top 25 RBs in college football makes us wonder if Nebraska’s issues recently there have been a recruiting problem or a development problem Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

-247 Sports put out their list of top 25 RBs in the nation, and schools like Central Michigan, Syracuse, UCLA, Air Force, UAB, East Carolina, and others all have RBs who are seen as Top 25 in the country

-If schools that are less prestigious like those are getting RBs to be that highly-regarded, what’s Nebraska’s issue? Has it been more of a recruiting/talent issue there or more development?

Do you still believe in a Nebraska football program that can win 9+ games a year? Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

-As we look at Frank Solich being a Hall of Fame candidate, we have to assess the program again

-We’re not talking about a 9 win season one year and then a couple of 6 or 7 or 8 win seasons following that. Can Nebraska get back to the winning level they were even under Bo Pelini?

-It is unfortunate to say it like that, but can they do it or not? What is the key?

If the most recent college football coach rankings tell us anything, it’s that big leaps are possible in just one season Jun 07, 2022

Show notes

-The Sporting News’ Bill Bender put out his version of the Top 25 coaches in college football, and seeing where coaches ranked last year vs. this year is interesting.

-Arkansas’ Sam Pittman is at No. 25 after being No. 56 last year; Wake Forest’s Dave Clawson is No. 24 after being No. 43 last year; Pitt’s Pat Narduzzi went from 45th to 23rd; Mel Tucker went from 62nd to 22nd; Baylor’s Dave Aranda went from 72nd to 19th

-What does this mean? If Scott Frost gets something going this year and goes 8-4 or 9-3, it can change his entire outlook. In just one season.
