Show notes

-Here’s the best part: according to MLB, Marcano hit on just 4.3% of the 231 MLB-related bets he placed…someone compared it like losing money on insider trading. Embarrassing and his career is over

Nebrasketball gets on the board again with a transfer big man, in UCLA’s Berke Buyuktuncel...one of the top reaming players in the portal Jun 05, 2024

Show notes

-Berke Buyuktuncel (pronounced: BEAR-kay Bee-YOOK-tun-jel) announced late Tuesday morning that he’d be committing to the Huskers, brining more depth and skill in the post for Fred Hoiberg’s squad

-His stats in his freshman year weren’t amazing at UCLA (4.5ppg, 2.5rpg), but he wasn’t cleared to play the first 3 games due to NCAA clearance, and then had injury issues, too. He is seen as someone with “sky-high potential” still (he’s still projected as a 2^nd round draft pick in next year’s NBA Draft)

-Nebraska still has one scholarship left and might not be used until a later time…
