Nebraska is 5-22 in the month of November since 2017, the year the streak of no bowl games started…if Matt Rhule is really the man to turn things around, this is a very important month Oct 29, 2024

Show notes

-Nebraska’s records in November the last 7 years: 0-4 (2017); 2-2 (2018); 1-3 (2019); 1-3 (2020); 0-3 (2021); 1-3 (2022); and 0-4 (2023)

-That equates to a horrifying 5-22 record overall, which is just abysmal. Nebraska has 4 opportunities this month to prove they aren’t the same as years past…and if they aren’t…when do things ever turn around?

-That’s why UCLA seems so important. You’re a heavy favorite, trying to change a narrative of a month that has been horrifying for almost a decade. Win the game, enjoy the bye week, and finish strong.

Do we have a clear picture of the order of the top 4 teams in the B1G as we enter November? Oct 29, 2024

Show notes

-The top 4 teams right now in the standings are: Oregon, Indiana, Penn State, and Ohio State

-Could you make an argument that the Buckeyes are the 4^th best team in the league and not higher? Where should Indiana stand in terms of perception of where they should be right now?

Matt Rhule met with media yesterday to recap Ohio State, preview UCLA, and discuss the screen game on offense and more Oct 29, 2024

Show notes

-Rhule met with media right after the B1G had admitted the officials messed up late in the first half on the obvious first down run by Emmett Johnson that was said not to be a first down and addressed that..

-Rhule said he and the players feel bad for the “heat” that Marcus Satterfield is getting…doesn’t appear to be a change there anytime soon

-Also, injury update: Rahmir Johnson is back and practicing and should play vs. UCLA; Tommi Hill is unclear still for status…what else did we learn from the presser?

Nebraska has been close in big games in years past…can they actually turn the good effort into wins going forward or more moral victories? Oct 28, 2024

Show notes

-Most games against Ohio State have resulted in blowout losses for Nebraska, but 2 separate times—both 11am games---Nebraska pushed the Buckeyes to the very end (2018, 2021)…but it didn’t result in the season turning around

-Nebraska enters a critical month in November, and got the horrible feeling of the Indiana out of it’s system with a quality performance against Ohio State---albeit a loss

-Is there fear or a hangover against UCLA after almost getting a big win this weekend or not?
