Matt Rhule says the way Nebraska finished in 2024 is a good building block for momentum this year…is that ‘turning point’ going to be apparent in 2025? May 15, 2025

Show notes

Rhule was on the Husker Sports Network on Tuesday and mentioned that the final 3 games of 2024 (win over Wisconsin, loss to Iowa, win over Boston College) was the turning point the program needed---probably to prove they could win in late season games which hasn’t happened for a long time. He also talked about reaction to adversity being important and that teams like Notre Dame and Ohio State had crushing losses last year and still made it to the finals…Nebraska doesn’t have to let one game ruin their season. Also, an update on the NFL schedule release from yesterday…is Jake OK with the amount of primetime games the Dolphins got? Show sponsored by SANDHILLS GLOBAL

Ole Miss’ likely new starting QB is 19 years old---but is already a college graduate May 14, 2025

Show notes

-Austin Simmons is a name we’ll know more of in the Fall when he’s playing QB for the Rebels, but he’s been quite a story already---training with NFL players at age 12, completing high school by age 16 with a 5.34 GPA

-Simmons also graduated from Ole Miss this past weekend (age 19), getting a bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary studies…impressive achievement but shouldn’t he be living the college dream???
