We’re on to the Iowa game to end the season, with both teams sitting at 7-4…a win won’t take away the disappointment of the Penn State game but it would help Nov 24, 2025

Show notes

Iowa looked horrible most of their game on Saturday vs. Michigan State, but overcame a 17-7 deficit to win, 20-17, on a walk-off field goal by Drew Stevens

Iowa enters the game as a 4.5 point favorite on Friday, and temperatures appear to be in the upper 30s in the game…the more physical team will likely win…Nebraska needs to prove they can be tough in the cold.

If we were trying to learn anything in the TJ Lateef or Dylan Raiola picture, it’s pretty hard to assess anything after the Penn State game Nov 24, 2025

Show notes

Lateef only led one Nebraska TD drive but also avoided some sacks---still took 3 in all---but did have a rushing TD. He had 10 carries for 15 yards and a TD; and was 21/37 passing for 187 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs, 3 sacks

So…no crippling, back-breaking turnovers…but struggled at times in the passing game. Raiola likely would have taken more than 3 sacks looking at his game history…even the biggest Raiola defenders wouldn’t say that game would have looked any different or better than it was…right?

A familiar story unfolded again for Nebraska football---manhandled in a November road game, falling 37-10 at Penn State Nov 24, 2025

Show notes

Nebraska moved to 2-18 in November since 2021 in the loss to Penn State, a game with a promising opening drive that was stuffed on 4th and goal….but that was all she wrote, as the defense never showed up and was not tough enough in the game

We had fears about stopping the run entering this game, and those fears were proper---the Nittany Lions had 39 carries for 231 yards but also were effective through the air, becoming the first team all season to have 400+ yards on Nebraska
