Something happened yesterday in recruiting for the first time since 2008…another win for the B1G Dec 04, 2025

Show notes

As the B1G enters the playoffs in hopes of having a 3rd straight national champion, they can brag about something else now—USC’s recruiting class ended ranked No. 1 by most services, the first non-SEC team to be 1st since 2008

Again—this could mean nothing with how things go with NIL/portal---but it’s a change at least for the first time in years

Can Nebraska learn anything from Indiana in recruiting or is something more than that in evaluation and development? Dec 04, 2025

Show notes

We’ve mentioned that Indiana is listed at the bottom of the B1G in terms of composite rankings of talent on the current team---hilarious for a team that crushes everyone and is 12-0---but it’s still something Matt Rhule, Pat Stewart and company need to look at

We have pointed out time and time again that Indiana is getting players that are “playing up”---not castoffs or retreads from Power 4 schools---yet our minds are trained here to see any additions not from Power 4 as an ‘eyeroll.’ How do we all change our ways?

Matt Rhule wants to keep his QB room intact, and see a leap from Dylan Raiola next year…how likely is it that either QB is back? Dec 04, 2025

Show notes

Most Nebraska fans highly doubt that both Dylan Raiola and TJ Lateef are here next year, but there’s a decent chance that at least one of them sticks around…right?

If it is Raiola who stays, Rhule says he wants to see him make the jump into the QB we know he can be…can that happen with the current offensive staff and personnel or not?

Show notes

Surprise…right? Some viewed Ohio State’s OC Brian Hartline as the favorite to get the Penn State job…until we found out right after our show ended that he would be leaving to be the head coach of USF

Is it Jeff Brohm for Penn State? Or a sign that it’s Terry Smith going forward? Bold move if they stick with Smith…

Matt Rhule met with media yesterday to discuss Nebraska’s Signing Day class as well as addressing the John Butler firing…what did we learn? Dec 04, 2025

Show notes

Rhule addressed the class being so small as trying to be “selective” this year because the 2027 class could be “special”…when you have a contract extension you can preach patience, apparently

He also mentioned Addison Williams will remain on the staff going forward and that he was important in recruiting Danny Odem and others….he also addressed John Butler not being a great fit for Nebraska and with Rhule as well…
