-Also, not a great weekend for Husker baseball…that’s why we should be thankful for the strong weekend in Arizona to start the year

Michigan lost to Duke in D.C. on Saturday and claimed no one in the B1G is as good as the Blue Devils defensively / Good Luck Bill (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Feb 23, 2026

Show notes

-Michigan has been pretty loud in recent weeks…including Yaxel Lendeborg saying last week that they believe this Michigan team could be the

best of all time in college basketball…and then the Wolverines decided to take shots at the B1G after they lost to Duke

-They’re not necessarily wrong that Duke might be better defensively than teams in the B1G, but it’s odd to take shots on the league you play

in…right? Duke wins, 68-63

Nebrasketball gets back on track with a blowout win over a bad Penn State team…did it cost them missed time for Jamarques Lawrence, though? Feb 23, 2026

Show notes

-Pryce Sandfort was dominant once again, tying Cary Cochran’s record for most made 3s in a game (8), en route to 33 points and an 87-64 win

over Penn State. Nebraska needed a bit of a stress-free laugher and got it….and Sam Hoiberg was also incredible with a double-double

-Leo Curtis saw action coming back from a sprained ankle, but Jamarques Lawrence suffered an ankle injury late in the game, with no update on

status yet…..Berke Buyuktencel also didn’t play with the flu, but Braden Frager played very well in his first start of the year

We’ll get to more B1G games throughout the show, but what UCLA did in coming back to beat Illinois was sensational Feb 23, 2026

Show notes

-UCLA trailed Illinois 33-10 at one point in the first half on Saturday night before battling back to a 50-43 halftime deficit….and then they trailed,

94-93, with 5 seconds left in OT

-Donovan Dent took the inbounds pass from the base line and drove the whole court, basically undefended, to get the buzzer-beater layup to

shock Illinois, 95-94…making the race for No. 2 in the B1G that much more interesting. Mick Cronin audio coming….

and great theater. First gold medal in 46 years for US men in hockey…

-USA ends with 12 gold medals, the most they’ve ever had in an Olympics…10 was the previous high in 2002 in Salt Lake City…33 total medals

for USA to finish 2 nd to Norway (41)

No, we didn’t forget there’s a basketball game tomorrow—Penn State comes to town at 1pm at PBA Feb 20, 2026

Show notes

-Nebraska needs a ‘get right’ game after the loss to Iowa, and hopefully that’s what tomorrow is, vs. a Penn State team at the

very bottom of the conference and who just got blown out at home by Rutgers on Wednesday

-A blowout isn’t necessary but it would be nice---to remind this team of how good they are and how they can still be a top 4

team in the B1G and a high seed in the Dance. Any chance of a letdown? Also, Pryce Sandfort on Naismith Watch List
