The B1G awards are out and Nebrasketball had a nice haul…including a first-team All B1G player and Coach of the Year Mar 11, 2026

Show notes

-The B1G Coaches were much kinder to Nebraska than the media side (no shock there), as Pryce Sandfort was named 1 st -team

All-B1G and Fred Hoiberg was named B1G Coach of the Year; Braden Frager also was honored as 6 th Man of the Year and All-

Freshman Team

-Sam Hoiberg made the coaches’ All-B1G defense team, and Rienk Mast was honorable-mention All-B1G…from the media side,

Pryce Sandfort was 2 nd -team All-B1G and Sam Hoiberg was honorable mention. Not a bad haul for a great squad.

Does Oklahoma City have any idea how many Husker fans will be heading down there if that’s where the draw ends at? / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Mar 10, 2026

Show notes

-It seems like half the state---and the entirety of the fans who live outside Nebraska---are all intent on being in OKC for the NCAA

Tournament game if the Huskers end there---the problem is, there aren’t a million tickets available to buy for the game. It could be

complete madness if things end up being in OKC…

The Big Ten Tournament starts TODAY in Chicago…and Nebrasketball’s odds to win it aren’t as high as you’d think as a 2-seed Mar 10, 2026

Show notes

-2 games today start the action in Chicago---Maryland/Oregon (4pm, Peacock); and Penn State/Northwestern (6:30pm, Peacock)

before we see 4 games tomorrow an it all really picks up

-FanDuel Sportsbook isn’t high on Nebraska’s chances to win the Big Ten Tournament, as they have the Huskers with 5 th best odds

(Michigan -105; Illinois +480; Purdue +600; Michigan State +650; Nebraska +1000; and Wisconsin +3000)….but a lot of Husker fans

might say they don’t really want to win it all because that’s more days to not be rested for the NCAA Tournament…what’s the right

stance?

The Mayor is sticking around: Fred Hoiberg gets a contract extension through the 2031-32 season, and we’ll see if National Coach of the Year awards follow Mar 10, 2026

Show notes

-Right after our show concluded yesterday, UNL announced a 3-year extension for Hoiberg through the 2031-32 season, after an

incredible 26-5 campaign that’s had Nebraska as a Top 10 team for the majority of the season

-The timing is actually proper this time---unlike the Matt Rhule extension in October---which didn’t result in a strong finish to the

season and instead a lot of grumbling Husker fans. With Nebrasketball claiming the 2-seed in the Big Ten, there was no better time

than now
