Is the B1G’s dominance in sports this year more about coaching or money/NIL? Apr 08, 2026

Show notes

-We all know what the B1G has done in the last calendar year and what they still can do the rest of this year in a variety of

sports…is that more of a credit to coaching or the money that the conference has to work with in allocating to athletes for NIL?

-Isn’t part of this also just the cyclical part of sports? SEC dominance can come back, but it was bound to shift at some time,

right?

-Quentin Rhymes entered the portal for the Huskers, someone we didn’t really see at all last year…so not a huge loss…nothing

else major to report

-It means nothing at this point because of what we don’t know about roster movement, but all the way-too-early Top 25s for

Michael Malone is the new man to lead North Carolina men’s basketball…will it work out for the Tar Heels? Apr 07, 2026

Show notes

-Malone’s name was brought up yesterday on the show, and how he’s the man to replace Hubert Davis as the head coach of North

2026 is off to a great start for Husker athletics…doesn’t that put some added pressure on football to get things going? Apr 07, 2026

Show notes

-As Sean Callahan pointed out in his weekly rundown for Husker Online, 2026 has been amazing so far---a Sweet 16 for Nebrasketball;

NCAA appearance for the women; incredible starts for baseball and softball; wrestling 3 rd place finish at nationals; and plenty more

-Is program momentum real or not? The energy is very strong right now from the athletic department and hopefully football sees that

as motivation to get up off the mat…
