Don’t believe everything you hear about some schools having unlimited money, as seen by Oregon basketball Apr 14, 2026

Show notes

-Everyone says Oregon has ‘unlimited money’ in NIL because of Phil Knight and Nike…well, maybe we are wrong…

-Dana Altman told The Field of 68 this week that they weren’t surprised to lose KJ Evans and Jackson Shelstad to the portal because

they were likely about to have their NIL reduced this year…saying the program is about to see reductions in both NIL AND rev-share.

Altman mentioned that some players were going to lose their NIL entirely but keep scholarships…is this going to happen elsewhere?

between 12,000-15,000 at their A-Day event, down from 72,000 in 2024

-Tennessee (48,000) and Florida (47,100) had more than Nebraska BUT….their admission was free; Nebraska shared $10 prior to game

and $20 on day of game

In a year where most pundits are predicting Nebraska football to go 6-6….what is their truly ceiling and true floor? Apr 14, 2026

Show notes

-CBS Sports went through the Top 25 teams—which Nebraska, of course, is not a member of---and looked at their best case/worst case

scenario. Most ‘best’ cases are around 10-11 wins for those teams, and only a few teams were seen as having worse than 6-6 or 5-7..

-Can you really get to a 10+ wins scenario for this Nebraska team as ‘ceiling’ or best case? And is 3-9 the worst case or is it a better…or

worse…record than that?

Go pro or stay in school? An update on the NIL number top players are looking for to consider sticking around… Apr 13, 2026

Show notes

-Illinois’ Keaton Wagler already entered his name into the NBA Draft process, leaving no question about a possible return to

Champaign.

-However, CBS Sports reports that Kansas big man Flory Bidunga, the top-rated prospect in the portal, is seeking $5 million next year to

go to a school. He’s currently seen as the No. 29 prospect if he went pro and is seen as a late first round pick, which is roughly $2.3

million in salary, where a top 10 pick is more in the range he’s looking at to stay in college. He might get that in college with the big

man market..
