We want great matchups in college sports, and Duke is delivering that next year, thanks to lots of money and Amazon Prime May 01, 2026

Show notes

-Duke announced yesterday they’ll have 3 non-conference games next year exclusively viewed on Amazon Prime---Nov. 25 th vs. UConn

(in Vegas); Dec. 21 st vs. Michigan (at Madison Square Garden); and Feb. 20 th vs. Gonzaga (in Detroit). Challenging for the schedule but

obviously big money to follow from Amazon Prime for partnering with them….are we in favor of this? Could Nebraska do it?

-And, big weekend for Husker baseball at Ohio State in their push for hosting a regional in Lincoln….a sweep is great but just win the

series for sure

-Also, ROLL CALL (sponsored by Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards): where are Breakers listening from today?

Show notes

-Uar Bernard was drafted by the Eagles in the 7 th round last Saturday, which of course is seen to many as taking a ‘flyer’ on a player---

the only difference with Bernard is he’s from Nigeria, and is the first African International Pathway Program player to be drafted

-His phone call with Eagles’ GM Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni has gone viral for a lack of enthusiasm…listen in…

Greg Sankey is playing the ‘close’ game for the SEC and it’s not a great look in comparison to the B1G’s recent run of titles Apr 30, 2026

Show notes

-The SEC commissioner was on Sirius XM this week and said essentially that the SEC is a ‘few bounces away’ from being where the B1G

is at and more sustained SEC dominance. He referenced the Alabama/Michigan game going to OT the year the Wolverines won it all;

the close losses by Georgia (to Notre Dame) and Texas (to Ohio State) in the semifinals 2 years ago…

-We understand what he’s doing, but it’s not a great look…but he just can’t give the B1G the credit they deserve
