DBR Bites #143 - Tigers Come To Town Feb 13, 2026
    Show notes

One of the most interesting, and best coached, teams in the ACC comes to Cameron on Saturday in the Clemson Tigers. The Duke Basketball Roundup crew takes a look ahead at the battle between the ACC's #1 team and the club that is right on their heels. Head coach Brad Brownell has put together a fascinating club this year. There are no stars on Clemson, not a single guy even averages 30 minutes of playing time per game. But, they play hard and play together -- a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Have a listen as Jason and Donald dissect everything you need to know about the only ACC team to beat Duke last season.

    #796 - Pouncing on the Panthers Feb 12, 2026
    Show notes

Let's just be honest, Pitt gave Duke more trouble than expected in their matchup on Tuesday night. The Duke Basketball Roundup dives into what was a sluggish, but ultimately successful outing for a Duke team missing Big Pat, its main man in the middle. Jason and Donald start out talking about the guards who led the way, Slim and CFos. They also have kind words for Darren Harris, who has seemed like the forgotten man in recent weeks. Is this the start of a revived role for him? With huge games coming up as the season enters the home stretch, there has never been a better time to subscribe to the DBR Podcast to make sure you get every episode the moment it drops.

DBR Bites #142 - How To Get Back On Track Against Pitt Feb 09, 2026
    Show notes

Duke has to put this past weekend’s heartbreaking loss behind them, as they travel to take on Pitt and fellow Brotherhood member Jeff Capel on Tuesday night. We preview the game against the Panthers on DBR Bites #142. We do go back to the court storming briefly to get an update on the staffer that was injured, with audio from head coach Jon Scheyer from the weekly ACC press conference. We then proceed with previewing the Pitt game, and Pitt has not been great this season. The metrics show where their flaws are, and we hear from Jeff Capel on the rebounding matchup between his team and Duke. We then get to some of the players that Pitt has, though a couple of the guys they rely on the most are out due to injury. Finally, we end with the things to watch as we hope to get Duke back in the win column tomorrow night. Make sure you’re following us! #795 - Crushing Loss to Carolina Feb 08, 2026
    Show notes

Ugh... for 39 minutes, 59 seconds, and 6-tenths of a second, Duke was controlling Carolina... and then Seth Trimble had his moment. The Duke Basketball Roundup has a full breakdown of the dispiriting loss to the Tar Heels. But, you won't catch Jason and Donald wallowing in anger or frustration at the refs, the court storming, or other excuses. Instead, the DBR Pod crew is focused on how Duke gets better from this moment on. What lessons were learned in this contest and how does Duke avoid the kind of late-game meltdowns that have led to each of the team's losses this year? There were plenty of positive takeaways from the contest and many reasons to still think this Duke team can do some pretty special stuff that will cause this loss to quickly fade from our memory.

    #794 - Final Carolina Prep w/ Jay Bilas! Feb 06, 2026
    Show notes

We’re doubling our preview of the Duke-UNC game! On Episode 794, we welcome back Jay Bilas to break down the matchup between the Blue Devils and the Tar Heels. We start on the UNC side, and Jay tells us what’s made their bigs so successful and where UNC will have to perform well if they want to knock off Duke. Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar have been performing well, but who else can be a X-factor? Jay gives us his unique perspective. We then shift to Duke, and Jay provides us with his thoughts on what Duke needs to do in order to walk out of the Dean Dome with the win and the bragging rights. The defense needs to be there and he’s not as concerned with the shooting. He also discusses whether Jon Scheyer will ever get the coaching recognition he deserves in the form of end of year awards. When Jay Bilas is on the pod, we listen because we know his thoughts are going to be good!! Make sure you’re following us! #793 - Cruise Control As Blue Devils Cages Eagles Feb 04, 2026
    Show notes

The Duke Blue Devils were able to hold Boston College at arm’s length with a 67-49 victory. We discuss the win on Episode 793. After some fun headlines, we get into the stuff Duke did well, from the 13-0 start to the suffocating defense holding BC under 50 points. Cam Boozer is doing some historic things, and we have to talk about the latest stat that will have your jaw drop. The team did some terrific things in the first half especially to make this game feel over pretty quickly. We do get to some of the things to clean up, notably the offense in the second half. The 3 point shooting gets some mention as the team can finally look towards Saturday night. Before we leave, we show some love once again to the Duke Women, who have a HUGE game against Louisville on Thursday night in a battle between the two remaining unbeaten teams in the ACC. DBR Bites #140 - BC Comes to Cameron Feb 02, 2026
    Show notes

Any coach will tell you, you take all opponents seriously. So, just because Boston College is (again) one of the worst teams in the ACC, it does not mean the DBR podcast will fail to provide a detailed preview of what the Eagles bring into Cameron. Jason and Donald break down everything you need to know about BC, including some truly amazing statistics involving free-throw shooting and mid-range jumpers. These stats are going to really wow you! After the break, the guys also look at how the ACC is shaping up in terms of NCAA tourney bids. It is still early, but this could be a nice return to form for the league with around half the league getting into the Big Dance.

    #792 - Holding Back the Hokies Feb 01, 2026
    Show notes

Duke took care of business against a game Virginia Tech squad on Saturday, and the Duke Basketball Roundup crew has poured over the tape and scoured the stats to give you a full breakdown of everything that happened in the latest Duke victory. The Blue Devils had to battle through a bug that is impacting multiple players in this contest, and a special shout out needs to be given to Caleb Foster, who went from the injury report to having the best rebounding game of his career. Jason and Donald also spend time talking about the dominance of Duke on the inside as Duke continues to blast teams in the key points in the paint metric. Have a listen to the pod... and be ready for a lot lot more content over the next week in the runup to a certain game next weekend.
