Show notes

We're back in the studio this week, and actor, presenter, and imaginary singer, Judith Jacob popped in to play detective!

Show notes

It's the final episode recorded at this year's Edinburgh Fringe and the gals go out with a bang after being joined by comedian Jessie Nixon.

Jessie opens the show by telling us about the time she unwittingly ended up on the wrong side of the tracks but ultimately went full steam ahead to fix the injustice.

We then hear a baffling case which might help the phrase 'shall I be mother' spread to a global audience.

And last, but in no way least, today's audience crime is perhaps the most epic thing anyone has ever shared on stage before - buckle up!

DWSC LIVE: With Geoff Norcott Sep 19, 2025

Show notes

In our second helping of the week, we're joined at the Edinburgh Fringe by the brilliant Geoff Norcott, who began by telling us two tales of criminal woe - one of which puts Geoff himself firmly in the role of law breaker! The team then delves into a case involving a trickster with more than his fair share of confidence.

Finally, we are treated to another jaw dropping story from a member of the audience involving a guy whose karma came in more than a bite sized chunk.

DWSC LIVE: With Kiell Smith Bynoe Sep 12, 2025

Show notes

He's back! After a full FOUR YEARS since his last appearance on DWSC, actor, comedian and inventor of drinks, Kiell Smith Bynoe, joined Taylor and Hannah at this year's Edinburgh Fringe to drink tequila and apple juice, and look for absolution for his past crimes ... (he didn't read the instructional email properly), so instead of telling us another story about when he was victim of some criminal wrongdoing, we hear about some teenage antics saw him briefly land on the wrong side of the tracks.

The gang then unpack a case which took inspiration from the silver screen, but does it have the same happy ending?

Finally, one brave audience member definitely wins the top prize at this years ' What's the most shocking story about your family?' awards...

DWSC LIVE: With Lou Wall Sep 10, 2025

Show notes

In today's episode, Hannah and Taylor welcome Australian joke smith Lou Wall to the show, after they appeared at this year's Edinburgh Fringe.

As is customary, Lou starts us off with a crime tale from their own life, and this story features some festive thievery where the perp literally thought they had it in the bag.

We then hear about a case which sees our protagonist wear many hats, as well as possibly donning a pair of fishnets on more than one occasion.

Finally, a member of the audience gives a stark warning that your dog will not help you cancel your credit cards if your wallet goes missing.

DWSC LIVE: With Courtney Buchner Sep 05, 2025

Show notes

You could be forgiven for thinking that today's recording from the Edinburgh Fringe is a séance rather than a DWSC live show, as our guest AND case have more than a little woo-woo about them.

We start by hearing from the incredible Courtney Buchner, who tells us how her dad's optimistic spirit drives crime to their door, and why her mum being plagued by actual spirits is a real headache.

We then hear about a case, which proves that psychics are capable of more than just paranormal activities. And finally, the spectre of car crime haunts one member of the audience enough to share it with the rest of us.

DWSC LIVE: With Emma Doran Sep 03, 2025

Show notes

All good things come to those who wait, as Taylor, Hannah AND the audience at this Edinburgh Fringe show found out, when our fantastic guest, Emma Doran, made a triumphant entrance onto the stage and proceeded to tell us about the crime that infiltrates her life and why she should probably let calls go to voicemail.

The gang then investigates a case SO eighties, you'll sprout shoulder pads by the end of the ep. Finally, a brave soul from the audience really earned their set of DWSC coasters, by recounting an incident perpetrated by some thugs with a penchant for Botox.
