Running a pair of MiEV Evolution II Electric race cars, Mitsubishi drivers Hiroshi Masuoka and Greg Tracy are looking for no less than a class win at this year's Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These aren't anything like the electrics you see on the city streets, these are the ultimate in high-torque high-tech. Both cars are powered by no less than four electric motors putting out 533 effective horsepower. Competition is on Sunday, June 30. Other noted competitors include hillclimb legends Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima, as well as Rod (Electric) and Rhys (Unlimited) Millen. This year also sees Peugeot returning to The Peak, with an Unlimited class gas-powered car driven by WRC Champion Sebastian Loeb.
