Week 2 DraftKings 9-17-21 Sep 18, 2021

Show notes

Cowboys-Chargers looks like the center of the DFS universe for this weekend, but we might still be able to find some sneaky plays from both sides of even that centerpiece matchup. Jared and Matt landed on the same veteran stud wideout that looks poised to go underused after a disappointing Week 1. And Mitch just can't quit Kirk Cousins. We'll hit on all those guys and much more.

Here's the rundown:

QB ... 1:35

RB ... 9:33

WR ... 16:48

TE ... 25:35

Kyler Murray broke the DFS slate in Week 1. Is he set to do so on FanDuel again this week? Or should we be looking harder at the other side of his matchup? Najee Harris has gone from Week 1 disappointment to Week 2 chalk. What do we do with that? We'll hit on those guys and much more in this efficient run through the main slate.

Here's the rundown:

QB ... 00:47

RB ... 6:11

Week 2 Preview 9-16-21 Sep 16, 2021

Show notes

Happy Elijah Mitchell Week! This is when you'll start to find out whether you made the right move in paying up for the 49ers rookie back ... or staying away from him. We have some thoughts on the San Francisco backfield, Brandon Aiyuk and the overall matchup in a game we're not sure Vegas has right. We'll also talk:

-- Ezekiel Elliott (of course)

-- Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee offense

-- some upside wideouts for Week 2

-- and a big-name TE we disagree on for the weekend

Week 1 FanDuel 9-10-21 Sep 11, 2021

Show notes

Later this year, we might have to figure out how to fit the studs we want in our FanDuel lineups. That's not this week. The beginning of the NFL season means role uncertainty and mis-priced players. So we're trying to stack upside here and score as many points as possible. (Duh.) Does that mean paying up for 3 RBs? Is it time to buy a top-shelf QB? Is Travis Kelce a must? We'll be addressing all those questions and hitting on plenty more in this efficient rundown.

Week 1 DraftKings 9-10-21 Sep 11, 2021

Show notes

Value plays are always fun to pick out for a DFS slate, but how many of them do we really need this week? NFL Week 1 finds many players across positions priced under where they're likely to be for most of the year, and we're pointing as many of them out as we can. That, of course, leaves room to fit some high-ceiling, high-priced studs into your lineups. So we're highlighting the top picks on that front as well. You already know Matt and Jared from the podcast -- and other places around the site -- but new to our DFS lineup is experienced player Mitch Carl. And he's bringing the heat right away.

The 2021 NFL season is finally upon us, and that means it's time to set our 1st fantasy football lineups of the year. Which injury situations threaten to shape our decisions? Which players should we worry about even if they turn up active? We're looking at some tight ends who could immediately outperform their draft positions. We're sorting out the rookie receivers, figuring out who's worth starting. And we're already pondering who might be worth starting above a couple of stud QBs facing difficult matchups. Listen in as we go game by game through the whole league.

Draft Movers with Josh Norris 9-3-21 Sep 03, 2021

Show notes

We brought Josh Norris on this podcast to talk about some of the key movers up and down the ADP boards in recent fantasy football drafts, but the discussion predictably went much further than that. We talked about ...

the effect of early WRs rising in summer drafts
whether the RBs boosted by injuries have moved up far enough
who just might be the top TE buys
and whether we're being unfair to Trey Lance.

You'll want to listen to the whole show before your next draft.
