#318: Street Fighter 6 Demo, Lili Trailer, and Texas Showdown Apr 25, 2023

We start off with the Street Fighter 6 showcase, hosted by Lil Wayne. The showcase first previewed the highly anticipated World Tour mode. Fans were excited to learn that they can now create their own character and explore the world of Street Fighter like never before. In addition, Battle Hub now allows you to use your custom character. The demo for World Tour and Fighting Grounds is now available with limited use, giving fans a taste of what to expect from the final build.
We also discuss the issue of players using cracked versions of Street Fighter 6 and how upcoming changes will affect the final build. The demo showcased some of these changes, leaving fans excited for what's to come.
Next, we move on to Tekken 8, which recently released a trailer for Lili with a brand new design. Lili also brings along her new cat named Salt, and the stage is now set during the day.
Unfortunately, we also discuss the delay of GranBlue Fantasy Versus Rising's online Beta, which is experiencing stability issues. Creative Director Tetsuya Fukuhara promises to announce a new date as soon as things have settled.
Finally, we recap the recent Texas Showdown, which featured some impressive matches. Some standout performances include Tong's placement in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Justin Wong playing Capcom vs SNK 2 while casting, and Snake Eyez's impressive run in Guilty Gear Strive.

#317: Street Fighter 6 Showcase and MSI x Combo Breaker Apr 18, 2023

We start off with news about Street Fighter 6, which is having a showcase on April 20th, hosted by Lil Wayne. The Microsoft Store has revealed that the game's components, Fighting Ground and World Tour, can be downloaded separately. We also talk about Higround's pre-orders for Street Fighter themed keyboards.
Next, we discuss the online network mode issues that have been plaguing Guilty Gear Strive. Ken Miyauchi, the producer for the game, recently released a statement addressing the problems and their plans moving forward.
Combo Breaker is partnering with MSI to provide PCs for the Mystery Game tournament and offering free flight, hotel, and game registration to EVO 2023, for first and second-place winners of UMVC3 at CB 2023.
In addition, we talk about indie fighting games, including the launch of God of Rock, a rhythm fighting game. We also share news and updates on other indie fighters that are making waves in the community.
Finally, we bring you updates on First Attack's registration, which is scheduled to go live on April 28th.

In this episode, we have some exciting news for Street Fighter fans. Fubarduck has discovered a clip of a streamer claiming that the Street Fighter 6 Open Beta is coming later this month. We discuss what this could mean for the community and what features we would like to see in the game. We share our Bedman impressions and tech we found on Twitter. Arcsys has acknowledged the network issues in Strive and has communicated that an update will be coming soon.
In other news, Bandai Namco thinks they can do better with Tekken 8's visuals. While fans are generally happy with how the game looks, the producers are not satisfied and are working on improving it. We also talk about Harada's recent Q&A session on Twitter.
Finally, Gamerbee shared a lengthy description of a presentation on Project L and answers some of our burning questions about the game. We delve into characters, esports plans, game mechanics, and more.

#315: EVO Japan 2023 Results, Controversies, and Announcements Apr 04, 2023

SNK provided an update on their latest game news, including the introduction of rollback for KOF 13 and teasers for KOF 15 characters Sylvie, Goenitz, and Kim, with Kim set to release this week. Bedman? Starter Guide was also released, showcasing bizarre move names and unique move properties, while LordKnight shared gameplay from the Demo build at EVO Japan.
Tekken 8 news also included new character trailers for Jun, Xiayou, Leroy Smith, and Asuka, with many players sharing their impressions of the latest build. The Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising hype trailer showed a new character named Siegfried.
The Focus Attack segment of this week's podcast is on EVO Japan, with discussions on tournament results, controversies with input lag on stream setups, and player reactions. Additionally, the hosts raise the question of why no one is talking about how cheap Cammy will be in the Cammy Vs Manon developer gameplay video.

#314: Multiversus Going Offline, Lars & Jack-8 in Tekken 8, and an EVO Japan Preview Mar 28, 2023

On today's episode, we review Street Fighter 6 footage from the PAX East Invitational tournament featuring some favorite players like Punk, Nephew, JB and iDom. Last week, Lars and Jack-8 trailer dropped for Tekken 8. They're both sporting new looks while showcasing their new moves, and their very flashy Rage Arts. Fighting EX Layer shared videos teasing what could be coming to the game soon, including side stepping and more never before seen combat mechanics.
EVO Japan is this weekend. We discuss who we will see there, what new game builds to expect, and speculate about announcements. Finally, Multiversus surprised our hosts with the news that they will close the "beta" in June, and we needed some extra support for some insight in our Focus Attack.

In this episode, we bring you new and exciting trailers from Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. In the Fighter's Corner, we break down the Marshall Law trailer where he fights Paul with returning moves and a new attire straight from Bruce Lee's movie. King's trailer also dropped with our favorite wrestling moves, returning moves, routes, and a new stage.
Street Fighter 6 released a new developer match of Zangief and Marisa which showcased their hard-hitting new moves, properties, grappling distances, and a full CA from Marisa. In the Focus Attack, we talked about the Grappler character type, and where it's expected to go after watching the showcase. We check out your answers from discord from the community question and finally we check out a new mod highlight for Zero in UMVC3 as Dante and Vergil.
