In this episode of Don’t Miss This, Dave Butler and Grace Freeman study Genesis 3–4 and Moses 4–5, walking through the story of Adam and Eve to uncover what scripture teaches about shame, mistakes, commandments, and God’s true character. This lesson gently challenges the idea that God is waiting to punish us when we fall short. Instead, it reveals a God who comes looking for His children with kindness, questions, and a plan for redemption that existed from the very beginning. If you’ve ever felt the urge to hide from God after making a mistake, this episode is for you. You will find the word of the week, teaching tips, and more in our newsletter. In this episode of Don’t Miss This, Dave Butler and Grace Freeman walk through the creation story in Genesis and the Book of Moses, not to explain how the world was made, but to reveal who God is. From the very first words, “In the beginning, God,” this lesson reframes creation as His story. A story that teaches us about God’s heart, His power over chaos, His generosity, and what it means for us to be created in His image. This episode is an invitation to see creation not as distant history, but as a personal reminder that God is intentional, present, and deeply involved in every beginning. In this episode of Don’t Miss This, Dave Butler and Grace Freeman explore Moses 1 and Abraham 3 and ask one of the most important questions of all: Who am I to God? As the Old Testament opens, we’re introduced to a God who is infinite, powerful, and glorious, yet deeply personal. In the middle of “worlds without number,” He speaks words that change everything: “You are mine.” This lesson is about identity, worth, and what it means to be known and numbered by God.
