Dispatches with Jonny Eberle (Trailer) May 25, 2023
    Show notes

This is “Dispatches with Jonny Eberle,” a podcast about writing, travel, and the creative process. In each bite-sized episode, I take you inside the writing life. We’ll talk about everything from what it takes to write a novel to where inspiration comes from to how the places we call home influence the stories we tell. I’ll share excerpts from my fiction and travel writing, interview authors and filmmakers, and pull back the curtain on the messy journey from bright idea to final draft—and we’ll do it all in ten minutes or less (usually).

I’m your host, Jonny Eberle. I’m a writer, filmmaker, and podcaster. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember and have been a professional storyteller for over a decade, publishing articles and short stories, making my own short films and audio dramas, and even working on a documentary film crew.

“Dispatches with Jonny Eberle” comes out in 10-episode seasons that are released twice a month on Wednesdays, with a healthy break in between seasons, because rest is a crucial part of the creative process and, let’s face it, I don’t want to get burned out.

So, brew yourself a nice cup of tea and settle in for the podcast that one listener described as simply “delightful” and another said was both “succinct and insightful.” Find “Dispatches with Jonny Eberle” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, and pretty much everywhere podcasts are found.

Subscribe today so you never miss an episode and thank you for listening. Learn more at www.jweberle.com/podcasts. A production of Obscure Studios with music by penguinmusic via Pixabay.

A Trek Through the Stars May 10, 2023

As a kid, the Star Trek franchise had a profound effect on me, but it wasn't until I was a teenager playing a text-based roleplay game that Star Trek began to influence my growth as a writer and storyteller. While I mostly write original sci-fi these days, I'd be happy to sit down with Alex Kurtzman and the folks at Paramount to discuss my pitch for a Lost Era show.

    Happy Early Lunar New Year!
