    Show notes

Welcome to the preposition and crush cast, please back your car over us until we fucking die. Also, welcome Jennnnnnn Green of @superglou and @glougloumagazine to discuss indigenous varietals (fuck it don’t send us the variety / varietal email we will die ). Extremely cursed episode due to Duck’s house being a literal goblin cave — excuse our sound quality. If this is your first episode please know the sounds get better, but the jokes... honestly, they are pretty choice in this one. Go to our patreon you strumpet. (Patreon.com/Disgorgeous) and get ready for our April 22nd party at the Usual NYC. Buy jennnnnnn’s wine, it’s the one with the cute back label.///

    Show notes

Hey chochangas, welcome! We’re joined by noted Italian wine expert @sipculture to discuss Fascism, rate religions, and discover fruits and flowers. More importantly, we drink some really cool Alpine Italian wine — from Vallee d’aoste to Bolzano we do it all baby, don’t worry you’re safe with us. Trigger warning: Duck has a wardrobe malfunction and we have to discuss dark things best left unsaid. Please don’t DM our guest, but please DM Kevin all the problems you’ve noted on this episode. Come to our party @theusualNYC on April 22nd! It’s our anniversary. Check out our Patreon (Patreon.com/disgorgeous) and tell a friend. List///

    Episode 57: Netflix & Chile Apr 01, 2019
    Show notes

The boys explore the other, other, other land down under, Chile, a country that Duck has weird ideas about. The boys drink two wines from the SAME GUY in Itata, and really want to talk about Assassin’s creed again. These are old vines people, they remember the crimes of imperialism. If you get a chance, google chinchorro mummies just to understand the depths of our psychosis. Also, COME TO OUR ANNIVERSARY PARTY AT THE USUAL NYC, APRIL 22nd 8-?. BYOB (ONLY COOL STUFF 4 REAL), FRIED CHICKEN, KILLER WINE LIST.

Welcome to Kevin's bizarre dental adventure! Did you know that Sharks can regenerate teeth? Don't worry, we'll explain this and get into our nerdiest rabbit hole episode yet with the incandescent Nathan Ratapu of Thirst wine. Make sure you toe the party line -- there are probably 9 continents and NZ wine fucking whips. This episode also answers the long awaited question of "what Marvel and DC superheroes are the boys?" Cracking good fun with some important culinary lessons for you all. ///

    Episode 55: Importer.com Mar 18, 2019
    Show notes

Fresh off a string of stellar episodes and the best metrics yet, the boys take a bit of a victory lap and make bad dick jokes for 35 minutes while drinking wine Kevin smuggled back from his trip to France. After a needed 7000 calorie snack from Letherbee Distillers, shit pops into gear and we get a bit of a nuanced conversation about back labels in wine, fining, filtration, and names for samurai swords. As the boys keep repeating, this isn’t the mezcal episode, but that doesn’t stop the boys from getting rowdy on some wild stuff from Duck’s recent trip. P.s. to the three people who were planning on writing in, yes, Duck accidentally said “ancestral” when he clearly meant “Artisinal” and yes, neither of the boys can pronounce Spanish words. But they are kind of cute, right?

Episode 54: Albarin-Yo! MTV Raps (Ft. Ian Brand) Mar 11, 2019
    Show notes

Alternately, we could call this real ass biaxas. We make a lot of puns with our good friend and best winemaker in California Ian Brand. Honestly, Ian brings out some weird energy. Everyone is mean to Kevin, and maybe its NOT OKAY, but he gets the last laugh by talking about dead white boy bands a bunch. Duck’s mangled brain creates a new character, a Frenchman who likes to drink pee. There’s a lot of wine knowledge imparted and some bizarre metaphysics unleashed upon the galaxy. This is the first Spanish deep dive we’ve done in a long time, and boy was that a mistake, Spain is bae #cannonical. Albarino is tasty and dare I say, fashionable?????? Please drink Ian’s wines: Le P’tit Paysan, La Marea, I.Brand and Family and probably a bunch more the dude can’t fucking leave well enough alone he’s got to keep making wine but what can you expect from a virgo AMIRITE? Please donate to Patreon.com/disgorgeous so we can get a brain doctor, and keep buying our shirts DisgorgeousPod.com and seriously, tell a friend, write a review, give us a 5 star rating. We’ve had #insane #metrics recently and we gotta keep it up my dudes.///

Episode 53: Joey Baga Donuts (Ft. Joe Swick of Swick Wines) Mar 04, 2019
    Show notes

Take off your baby wheels and open that sugar mouth wide cuz it’s time to party with the legendary Joe Swick. As per his insistence, we get absolutely lit on Baga, which Duck keeps comparing to Nebbiolo to hide his ignorance of the proud Portuguese wine tradition. This is our first foray into Portuguese wine and wow is there a lot more to investigate. Also, we drink grown up wine and have tannins, wow.

This episode is a double length one to fit Baga and Joe’s awesome wines and the 900000 of dead white guy bands Kevin and Joe needed to talk about while Duck suffered and dreamt of snakes. Please donate to our Patreon (patreon.com/disgorgeous) and buy a shirt (Disgorgeousshop.bigcartel.com)///

Episode 52: Loire Sauvignon Blanc RELOADED (feat. Miguel De Leon) Feb 25, 2019
    Show notes

The boys are joined by tiny-wine list impresario and 1/2 of the upcoming @pinoynoirpodcast Miguel de Leon, the original bad boy of wine, to discuss Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire valley and to get extremely tilted on white wine. The boys revisit an old friend, re-affirm their faith in god, and get rowdy for pangolins, all the while veering dangerously close to being canceled on their birthday. Spoiler alert, the boys bring out some knives for the concept of “Loire Sauvignon Blanc,” especially that noxious valley, Sancerre, but find fun stuff to drink, without veering on too many legally actionable tangents. In the end, the real Loire Valley was the friendships we made along the way.

Episode 51: One Muscadet at a Time Feb 18, 2019
    Show notes

A nice muscadate is spoiled by our first important corked bottle. Duck shouldn’t be alone right now, to be honest. The tires really come off, but at least there is our first tandem song (and it rules). Although this episode really veers towards classic podcast notes of two bored white dudes talking about nothing, but it also serves as your official warning about the month of May, which we’ve decided is now called either Mayscadet or Muscamay. That’s right, the boys are doing a themed month. There’s also a few hints about summer plans, which Kevin pronounces strangely and which could, hypothetically be a clue… If you’d like to help Duck solve his mystery, DM Kevin.

Episode 50: From Paris with Love Feb 11, 2019
    Show notes

Global correspondent Kevin returns with an exciting new goutwatch from a week in “France,” and the boys drink a care package from the wonderful @pariswineco, whose wine you should probably drink, to be honest. Duck accidentally slanders the Lore and delivers a nearly incomprehensible lecture about why he doesn’t like Cab Franc, but makes up for it by straight up reading from a endangered turtle magazine. Kevin pronounces with gusto this episode. It’s worth it for that. Also, seriously, the boys drink a lot of grower (not show-er) wines and have a mostly good experience until the end. This episode is a soothing balm for the soul. Patreon,com/disgorgeous AND OR disgorgeouspod.com for more action bb ///
