Incandescent to LED - What's Watt - DTT Plus Episode Dec 29, 2023

Show notes

As you may know, Kelly has always used soft pink incandescent bulbs to create a warm glow in her home. With the ban of the incandescent bulb a reality she scoured the globe looking for a replacement LED bulb.

Today she shares her findings, what you need to know about the switch from incandescent to LED and we discuss the state of lighting today. As lighting can make or break your decor this is a must listen bonus episode.

Bottom line:

If you miss the radiant warmth of a gently dimmed incandescent light bulb,

the Philips Ultra Definition 60W Replacement A19 Dimmable LED Light Bulb

with Warm Glow Effect Soft White might be the next best thing, at least for now.

These LED bulbs are designed to mimic the analog ambience of a heated light

filament by casting more red light waves as their dimming level gets lower,

without the need for Wi-Fi or a complicated app setup.

So if you're longing to bask in that nostalgic radiance. Try these bulbs HERE.

( make sure to choose soft white - 800 lumens - 60 watt )

Jennifer said, "[This is a review of the consult not the podcast]

I had been angsting about what to do with our LR for months. I finally decided to set up a consult with you. Now I ask myself, Why on earth did I wait so long!? You both came prepared and clearly had examined my photos and thought everything through before you called. You gave me specific, actionable suggestions which were right on point. You explained the reasons for your suggestions which gave me the ability to adapt your ideas as needed, because the goal and plan plan were so clear. I’m almost done with the room now, and couldn’t be happier!"

Simply Elegant Holiday Wrapping Ideas Nov 29, 2023

Brown paper packages wrapped up with string. These are a few of my favorite things. We both agree simpler is better for wrapping gifts. We suggest using kraft paper or plain white wrapping paper with bakers twine or a simple ribbon bow. If you want more color, go with a simple two color paper, or go with tone on tone. Then match your ribbon to your wrapping paper color.
