    Show notes

Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home.

ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8)

As Kat works to piece together what lies ahead, Elliot tries to learn more about Tessa as he does his best to reconnect with his mum.

AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8)

    June 7, 2026 | Hallmark Channel

CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8)

    • Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry
    • Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine
    • Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan
    • Andie MacDowell as Del Landry

BRAN’S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8) SYNOPSIS

The episode starts right back in 1925, Elliot clearly staying back on purpose. He goes to tell his mom that he's staying and she's unimpressed. She's leaving there soon and she's not letting him change her plan. Cliff comes by and Fern tells him that Elliot's name is Tom Buchanan. Cliff tells Fern it was nice seeing her on his porch again. Elliot decides he's going to join the family business.

Back in the present day, Kat is having a really hard time with the fact that Elliot clearly saw this picture of himself in the paper and didn't tell her. Del is like well before you jump to conclusions, wait until you can talk to him.

Back in the '20s, Elliot plays the piano so that Cliff and Fern can dance. He sings Time After Time. Tessa shows up and it's time to answer some questions.

She jumped with Griff and showed up in 1882. She got sick. So Griff came back to get some medicine but never returned. Elliot brings up the letter she sent to Vic but she doesn't know what letter he's talking about. He's like why would someone think you're dead?

Back in the present, Jacob and Abby kiss big ones. Things are getting serious between them. At a party, the reel starts playing but Kat and Alice notice that someone cut Kat out of the reel. They theorize that Evelyn must've cut the reel which would mean she knows that Alice is a time traveler. So she jumps in to talk to her. She sees that Del is pregnant!

Speaking of jumping, Kat ended up jumping and goes to talk to Elliot and he's thrilled to see her. He apologizes to her for not telling her about the newspaper. He says it's his fate though, not hers.

Kat gives Tessa a piece of her mind for leaving Elliot behind. She'd never leave Alice behind. And it's clear Tessa knows Alice right away.

Abby comes over for dinner and it gets real awkward when she talks about how farm life isn't for her and that her life is still in Toronto.

Alice is hanging out with Evelyn. Evelyn begins to question her. Why hasn't she gotten older? What's her story?!

Bad news - turns out Cliff isn't leaving town for a big award. He's actually trying to capture the big fish! Fern and Kat go to warn Elliot and Tessa but it's too late. The feds are here! Cliff has them good as caught but when Fern shows up, he lets them go cuz he loves herrrrrr.

The next day, Kat and Elliot listen in as Fern basically tells Cliff that she loves him and they....hug big ones?

Kat and Elliot go to leave, expecting Tessa to come with. She's like nah. Elliot says I'll come back New Year's Eve. Come find me.

Sam tells Del that he knows about the pond.

The episode ends with Kat and Elliot back home. They figure out a code that Fern uses in the newspaper to help with the bootlegging. The code says that 5 people went into the tunnel, but only 4 people came out. Did Elliot invite his mom to her death?!

    BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

We open with a flashback to the days when Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne were the original Ant-Man and Wasp. Things are going great until Janet gets trapped in the Quantum Realm, which, as it turns out, is not an ideal vacation destination.

Fast forward to after the events of Civil War. Scott Lang is nearing the end of his house arrest and trying to stay out of trouble. Hank and Hope briefly open a tunnel to the Quantum Realm, which somehow causes Scott to have a vision of Janet as a little girl playing hide-and-seek. Instead of questioning any of this, everyone decides it's proof that Janet is still alive.

Hope and Hank kidnap Scott, replacing him with a giant ant wearing his ankle monitor. The trio sets out to rescue Janet, but first they need a special part from shady businessman Sonny Burch. Sonny immediately realizes there's money to be made and betrays them, leading to a fight with a mysterious masked woman called Ghost, who steals Hank's entire portable laboratory.

Trying to get their lab back, they visit Hank's old partner Bill Foster, who explains that Ghost is actually Ava Starr, the daughter of another former colleague whose experiment went very, very wrong. Ava is now phasing in and out of existence and is constantly in pain. Her plan? Steal Janet's Quantum Realm energy to save herself. The only problem is that doing so might kill Janet.

Meanwhile, Janet starts sending messages from the Quantum Realm and provides directions. She warns them they only have a couple of hours before the Quantum Realm decides to strand them for another hundred years.

Things get complicated. Sonny learns where they are. The FBI arrests Hank and Hope. Ava steals the lab. It's alot but also nothing.

Eventually, Scott helps everyone escape, they recover the lab, and Hank ventures into the Quantum Realm to rescue Janet. He finds her alive, looking surprisingly well for someone who's spent decades trapped in a dimension beyond space and time.

What follows is a giant chase across San Francisco featuring shrinking buildings, growing cars, a whole lot of size changing. While Scott and Hope deal with Sonny and Ghost, Hank successfully brings Janet home. Rather than holding a grudge, Janet uses her Quantum powers to stabilize Ava and save her life.

In the end, Scott finally completes his house arrest, Sonny gets arrested, Ava and Bill go into hiding, and everyone seems happy.

But then the mid-credits scene happens. And it's no longer happy go lucky time. Scott heads back into the Quantum Realm to collect healing energy for Ava. Just as he's ready to come home, Hank, Hope, and Janet all turn to dust thanks to Thanos. Scott is left trapped in the Quantum Realm.

Luke gets home for Christmas. His dad is the owner of said Racquet club. And Luke pitches him letting him take over the club - call it the Luke Hollis Champions Center. They tell him the bad news about probably losing the center.

He gets to the club the next day and is super mad to find out that his tennis court has been turned into a pickleball court!

But when he finds out that this Christmas day pickleball tournament might be the club's last chance to save it, he tries to figure out how to help. He finds a partner to help broadcast the tournament. The problem is the money they're going to spend isn't going to the club, rather to the winner of the tournament. That prize money is enough to save the club, so Luke decides he's going to compete.

So Caroline agrees to help him learn this sport and next thing you know, they're hooking up in the shed.

At the club holiday party, Caroline and Luke go together, and his parents make an announcement naming Luke the next club owner, if they're able to make it another week.

    November 6, 2001 | The WB

CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 6)

    • Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore
    • Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore

BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 6) SYNOPSIS

The Gilmore girls show up for Friday night dinner and Richard and Emily don't even notice them there as they're having a big argument over whether or not Emily's social calendar is important or not. So embarrassing!

And the arguments keep coming. The next morning, they walk into Luke's and see Luke demanding Jess go up and change when he comes down in a Metallica shirt. So embarrassing!

Emily is hanging out with her friends and they're all giving her a hard time for missing events due to Richard's work schedule when Rory shows up. When they see her, they all demand that she comes out! Comes out of where, you ask? Apparently, in high class society, you present a lady at the Debutante Ball when she is officially a woman. I dunno man. Sounds icky. Lorelai finds out about this and is like no way I'm letting you do that, but Rory insists that she really wants to! And she also really wants her dad to come. So Lorelai calls and fully expects him to not be able to come but he says he's there! And shockingly, he does show up. Even more shockingly, he shows up in a car and not a motorcycle. Even more shockingly, HE HAS A JOB! It's hard to not notice the sparks that fly between Lorelai and Christopher, especially when they show off their ballroom dancing skills.

When they get to the ball, they're both looking fancy, flirty flirty fun time. But Emily and Richard aren't having that same good time. They just keep arguing about how busy he is! Just as the event is about to start, Lorelai looks back and sees her parents still arguing. He just keeps talking about how work is crazy and all Emily cares about is these silly events. He explains that he knows he's being phased out of the business. Emily is like so what? That doesn't go well. And then they all rush in to watch Rory walk in with Christopher and Emily whispers to Lorelai "that should've been you" and then she walks off.

As the evening comes to an end, Lorelai tells Christopher that she'd like to see him more now that he's living in Boston. They end up kissing and she asks him to stay. He says it's a tempting offer but he has to get back to Boston for work...and for someone. And it's kind of serious. They're living together. She handles it well but after he walks away, you can see a wee bit of hurt in her eyes.

The Gilmore girls are back at Luke's laughing as they watch Jess clean the diner wearing one of Luke's flannels and a backwards hat. Lorelai tells Rory that she's happy that she has someone to complain to when life gets hard. That leads Lorelai to go to Emily's house the next day, just to hang. She tells Emily that if there's ever anything she needs to talk about, she can talk to her.

The episode starts with a flashback to where KC and Sam met for the first time. KC walks up to Sam playing chess, beats him very quickly, and tells him that they met in the future. They know Sam and Del. They ask him if he can help with some legal advice on how to save Del's farm. Sam picks up on the fact that they know both Del & Sam in the future and he takes that to mean that Del and him are together in the future. Cut to present day and KC finds Sam at the same chess table. Sam says so much for that future you promised me. And KC tells him just because you know your future doesn't mean you shouldn't fight for it.

In the '20s Tessa is not happy. She tells Kat that she's messed up her entire operation. Elliot comes downstairs. He's finally woken up and Kat checks on him. Fern is in on it too. Kat tells Fern she doesn't have to go along with things.

Elliot and Tessa take a walk down to the pond. He tries to hash things out and she's like I don't have time for this. You and Kat have ruined everything. People rely on me here. Elliot is like but why did you do it? She says she thought it was the right choice at the time.

Sam and Del hang out and she thanks him for saving her in the corn field.

I'm not sure how much this actually matters but Cliff and Fern kiss as Kat watches on. She goes to find Elliot down by the pond. Kat says it's time to go home, but Elliot decides to stay back at the last second.

Kat ends up coming out in '79. Old Fern just says give the boy some time with his mom. Also, us Landry women are cursed in love.

Alice sees KC again and is like I took your advice and deferred my acceptance. KC is like how'd you get that from what I said?!

KC joins them all for dinner where Alice tells them she's not going to college. It doesn't go great. KC runs to the pond. Before jumping, they tell Alice they wanted to just have some fun before everything changed. Alice jumps into the pond hoping to follow but just ends up back in 1979. Or should I say almost 1980. And Griff is back. Alice watches as Colton and Del are still struggling with not starting a family yet. Alice then sees that her mom has shown up in another film reel, this time from a reel in 1974. Evelyn is like oh I know her. She's the white witch who saved me from drowning as a kid. Tessa comes in to ring in the new year.

In the present day, a piano repair man comes to fix that stuck key.

Jacob and Abby are spending a lot of time together and she's really digging him despite him talking a lot about dirt.

Turns out there was a note on that key. It's the opening page from the Alice book that Tessa gave Fern. On the back is a letter from Cliff to Fern about how he loves her. Could Cliff be Colton's grandfather?

Del remembers that she told Sam that she loved him when he found her in the corn field.

    Jacob and Abby kissssss!

Then Del and Sam kissssss and they both say they love each other.

Kat keeps trying to jump in the pond but the pond won't take her. She finds out that Elliot requested a sabbatical at work. Then she finds all of Elliot's newspaper clippings and she finds one that is a picture of Elliot in the '20s, called The Big Fish and going by Tom Buchanan.

When they realize who she is, the producer Ciara asks if they could interview her. They heard that she solves a murder with the help of the paranormal and would love to chat with her. She's not so sure.

The next day at school, Griff asks her to get together later. She's like i'm in. Just then, inspector O'rielly comes and asks if she could help him brush up on his piano skills before his family comes into town. She agrees.

Bad news guy, the showruner KentDempsy is found dead by the crew as they're wrapping the shoot. Naturally, Gethsemane can immediately see and talk to him. He's like pretty I'm a ghost, huh? He's like there's all sorts of tension between the crew. Not to mention Ciara is his ex-wife.

Ghost Dempsy and Eamon listen in as the police discuss how his injuries line up with the injuries of a fall. But there's no where in the room he was found in where he could've fallen. So he must've been moved.

One of the crew, Rahj, is especially suspcious. I guess he owes money and is on the run from this mystery guy.

Behidn the hidden door is a stair case. They go down and see a little bit of blood, and some blue stuff on this screw driver they find. Ciara recognizes it as belonging to Liza. To make matters worse for Liza, there's audio that sounds like her all but admitting to the murder. Gethsemane suspects its AI.

Roj is found dead. There's this dude that Gathemne suspects may have wanted him dead because he was too much of a sceptic. they ask him on a lvie stream and he tells them to scram.

Turns out, it was that dude's son that did it. So take that!
