Show notes

Dear Asian Americans,

I really hope that we can be encouraged and inspired by everything that's going on today, with all the Asians that are making it. It's really because of our parents' sacrifice, our grandparents sacrifice. So I hope that we never ever forget that. It's all because of them and we need to honor them more.

Give. Life's about love. If we're not giving, then what are we doing? I hope, I hope, I hope that we all remember it just to give.

Love,

PK

003 // Rajiv Satyal // Comedian, Host, Speaker aka Funny Indian Mar 04, 2020

Show notes

Dear Asian Americans,

Continue telling your stories... Keep fighting for what you believe in... we live better than any group of people in the world in history. I think that we have the ability to hold onto our culture, I think that we have the ability to assimilate, and I think that with all the challenges that we face, every community faces challenges, we're at a point in time where it's better to be alive now, it doesn't seem like it sometimes, better than any time in history. We're living in, with all of its faults and flaws, the greatest nation on earth. And we're so privileged to have parents, generally that support us, if nothing else, siblings, camaraderie. And look at Jerry and Rajiv sitting here talking and having this conversation in the middle of the day when we probably should be working jobs as a lawyer and as a doctor, and we get to do this in Burbank while the sun is shining and do whatever we want. If that's not inspiration for you. I don't know what is.

Love,

Rajiv

Show notes

Dear Asian Americans,

You are so worthy of the time, energy, and effort to get to know your deepest self, and you are so worthy of taking into your history, of looking into the mirror, and loving on the features, the nuances of complexities, of what makes you, you. And furthermore, you must do that self work with responsibility because your existence on this earth matters.

And someone out there who's looking at you and the way that you treat yourself, and that is a message for how they might see themselves. So yeah, you're worthy of love.

Love,

Cassandra Lam
