Episode 155: Plum Bob Jun 03, 2024

In Episode 155 Kvothe plays a trick and a song at the Eolian. But the reaction is not what he hoped for, perhaps affecting hs ability to collect coin from the wealthy establishment there. To make matters worse, Kvothe has been poisoned, causing him to bungle his admissions and achieve his worst tuition yet! Even after he has collected his various moneys from his artificing, and playing tips, his purse is still a bit light, so back to Devi he must go. And the Fingers are here for it!

In this episode the Fingers kick off their coverage of The Wise Man’s Fear, the second book of The Kingkiller Chronicle, by Patrick Rothfuss. In what is a bit of a catchup series of chapters, we see the silence of the Inn, the magical illusion Kote has laid upon the civilians of the town that even he can’t overcome, and we reacquaint ourselves with the Eolian as Kvothe tries to make some money for tuition…the same old song and dance!

Episode 152: The Wind and the Wheel Feb 26, 2024

In this episode of Davos Fingers covering NINE chapters, Denna gets over her high while Kvothe confronts the rampaging Draccus and offers it some Sympathy before making his way home to the University. He has many apologies to give and amends to make there, but one consistent thorn in Kvothe’s side learns that sticks and stones may be bad, but Names actually can hurt something fierce. He also goes up on the horns, again, and is sentenced to a lashing, awarded a small fortune, expelled from the University, promoted to Re’lar, and readmitted to the University in the span of a few minutes. And lastly, Kvothe finally gathers the courage to ask Auri to show him her home. It’s a lot of content, and the Fingers enjoyed every minute of it!

It isn't what they think as they are forced to contend with a mythical creature of legend: A Dragon. Or is it. Not only that but the creature is on an addiction-riddled hunt for his next fix, and Kvothe and Denna feel like they must stop it. Inside, the Fingers also unravel the importance of honesty in storytelling, tell some of their own tales, and laugh along at each other as usual!

Matt and Scad celebrate their 150th episode with a doozy of a selection of chapters from The Name of the Wind. Kvothe hears that the Chandrian have appeared only one day prior and a mere afternoon’s ride away. He drops everything, procures a loan for a horse and sets off to see evidence of this childhood faerie tale turned real life trauma. When he arrives, Denna just happens to be the only survivor from the slaughter, and the two of them tour the scene of the crime together. Also inside, we reminisce about our 150 episodes together and share some heartfelt and very touching listener feedback from the Khalasar.

A small trinket fashioned to look like silver pipes, they will earn him money and clout if he is successful. But it is no easy task, as it takes a flawless and moving performance from a skilled artist, with most attempts not meeting the bar. Kvothe drinks with his good friends, makes a few new ones, and is reunited with an old one from months ago all in this one magical night at the Eolian.

Inside, we get a cultural education about the University, and we meet the Masters that control admissions. Kvothe must work some Kvothian magic to be admitted, but once he is, we get to meet some new friends and some new enemies. Kvothe is at the University at last; where he thinks he belongs, and that is something to celebrate.

The Fingers travel with Kvothe to Tarbean to get some new lute strings, and you faithful listeners are coming with us. Kvothe's mind is a terrifying place these days, and he is coping via copious lute playing, becoming a master that can compose new works and play through broken strings. But when his third string breaks he finds himself on the move to a place where he can get replacements, for the idea of existing with lute playing is ludicrous. But the city he finds, Tarbean, is unwelcoming and hard. In a rollercoaster episode full of helpful heroes and dangerous demons, Pat allows us to feel like we are right there, huddled with Kvothe in his place where the three roofs meet.

Episode 135: The Green Council Oct 21, 2022

In episode 135 of the Davos' Fingers podcast, we unwrap the gift that is episode 9 of House of the Dragon: the Green Council. Viserys has passed and Alicent and the rest of the small council move swiftly to install Prince Aegon as the new King. What to do with Rhaenyra and Daemon is the only thing they can’t agree on, so the Greens bicker and argue without a King yet in place to make the final decision. Aegon’s coronation is a lovely event full of Targaryen heraldry and title, but two Queens are also intent on having their own thoughts heard regarding the Succession.

In episode 134, the Fingers of Davos sneak into a family occasion at the Red Keep as Vaemond Valaryon has forced the question of Velaryon succession on the Throne, counting on a favorable decision from Alicent and Otto to rule in his favor. But Rhaenayra and Daemon have convinced Viserys to rule in their favor, and Viserys makes it a point to show up for his daughter. Viserys has plans of his own, though, too. A plan to unite his family in a last, desperate dinner to bring all their conflicts to a conclusion and unite House Targaryen

With the question of succession (still) looming large, Viserys makes a wedding pact that he hopes will stabilize the kingdom and ensure Rhaenyra’s path to rule. Rhaenyra and her new betrothed, Laenor Velaryon make their own plans for happiness, while Alicent, Daemon, and Ser Criston Cole all adjust their behavior and loyalties in response to the union, and to the shifting balance of power. Lastly, the Strongs assert themselves as players in the game as well, showing support for Viserys, but also a penchant for sewing some chaos of their own.

Episode 127: The Heirs of the Dragon Aug 26, 2022

In Episode 127, Matt and Scad take a leap into the HBO series The House of the Dragon, covering its first episode: The Heirs of the Dragon. With Jaehaerys’ rule coming to an end, and the succession unclear, the assembled Lords of Westeros choose Viserys I to rule the 7 Kingdoms. But it isn’t long before Viserys has his own succession problems as he struggles to produce a male heir. With a child on the way for Queen Aemma though, hope springs and King’s Landing holds a tourney to celebrate. But things do not go as planned, and Viserys is left with an unruly council, a brutal brother, and a dutiful but overlooked daughter to contend with as the succession looms again.

This is the first in what will be weekly episodes covering the new HBO series, The House of the Dragon. So it will be a busy few months for the Fingers. Episode 126: Whispering Lullabies featuring Zander Aug 22, 2022

In the final installment of Meet the Khalasar, the Fingers of Davos are joined by the zen-like Zander as we dive into Jaime’s penultimate chapter in asoiaf, Jaime VII of A Feast for Crows. In it, we find a Jaime busy with wrapping up the final business odds and ends for the Wot5K in the Riverlands. We see an effective Jaime, a productive Jaime. But we also see a frustrated man dealing with the escape of a slippery Blackfish and grappling with what his role will be like when he does return to King’s Landing; his sister having created an entirely different mess that will need his attention, if she’s still alive that is.

Zander on the other hand creates no mess. It was a delight to get to know Zander a lot better. He has been with us since the beginning, but mostly keeping to the shadows, and it was nice to shine a light on this kind, generous, and thoughtful friend. We can’t wait for everyone to hear his asoiaf story and some of his personal tales.

Next up for the Fingers? Oh, just a little D. HotD, that is! That’s right, for the first time, Davos’ Fingers is going to be doing…duh duh duh…..SHOW Coverage. House of the Dragon just looks and sounds too good to pass up, and the Fandom is absolutely DROOLING over it, so we figured we really had to give the people what they want. More details to come, but look for a release in the week following the first Episode of House of the Dragon, which premiers on 8/21/22!

Episode 125: Poor Pyat Pree featuring Anne Jul 18, 2022

This installment of Davos' Fingers features one of our longest tenured friends, Anne, or sweetyft as you might know her. It also features a pretty ancient chapter as well, reaching way back to Dany IV of A Clash of Kings, sometimes just referred to as the House of the Undying chapter. Dany dives headfirst into a magical maze of mages, culminating in a face off with the Undying themselves. With questionable but intriguing visions along the way, what is real, what is just drug-induced, and how much does it matter when Dany can't make sense of any of it when she gets out?

And Beth makes us sing as well. With her positive outlook and energy, her passion for all sorts of music and her deep love of the fandom, Juliebeth is a bright light on the episode, and getting to know this longtime Bloodrider better was a real treat.

Stef joins the fingers for Episode 122 and it is a riot. Making our way to Arya for the first time in our Meet The Khalasar cycle is a treat with Stef along for the ride. In this episode Arya is stuck as cup-bearer to Roose Bolton and a LOT is weighing on her young mind. Should see stick it out here with an impending regime change, or strike out on her own against a sea of troubles. Neither it turns out, as she still has some friends left, friends who join her.

Arya is in a tight spot in this chapter, but Stef brings her humor and diverse experiences to the table to help us uncover the gems inside this chapter. Epiosode 121: Burning the Hand That Feeds You Feb 21, 2022

The Fingers of Davos are joined by Litbringer Mandy for a burnin down the house Episode 121, literally. Cersei III of AFFC features a Cersei struggling to maintain her grip on power and on her sanity and on her sense of self, all culminating in setting a mighty blaze to the Tower of the Hand. A month or two removed from her eldest son's death at the Purple Wedding, Cersei is now confronted with marrying off her second son to the same woman, Margaery Tyrell. Still in mourning and seeing threats in every shadow, this truly turns into Cersei's no good, very bad day. But a resolved Cersei sets the Tower of the Hand on fire using the alchemist substance, wildfire, and burning away her fear and paranoia, filling her with a sense of resolve, and flushing out any rats that may still be hiding inside its many hidden pathways.

But it wasn't a no good, very bad day for Matt and Scad because they get to know Mandy a bit better. A positive force and the creative energy behind the Litbringers, Mandy gives us insight into herself and the Litbringers. It was a delight to share the episode with her as A Song of Madness nears its opening whistle.

Episode 120: Bewitched featuring Bloodrider Gene Jan 31, 2022

In Episode 120 Matt and Scad are joined by Bloodrider Gene to talk Sans…er…Alayne 1 of A Feast for Crows. In this chapter, found smack dab in the middle of AFFC, we find Alayne also in the middle of a pretty drastic personal journey. She is doing her level best to please her new “dad”, keep young Robert mollified, and prepare the Eyrie for the Lords Declarant all while maintaining her grip on her sense of self. These Lords have been making life a bit difficult for Petyr, blocking supplies from reaching them on the mountain, and insisting that Robert and the Vale be returned to friends.

Gene doesn’t make life difficult for the Fingers though. Instead, he is a delight and learning more about him was the best part of our chat. Settle in as Gene provides some moving personal stories and gives us some info about how he found the fandom.

It’s a chapter of three parts including a raging sea battle, roiling self-reflection and introspection, and a celebration feast. But no celebration feast is complete without an overt challenge to authority, at least not when the Ironborn do it, and Euron’s plan for the Ironborn’s immediate future is given a harsh rebuke by Rodrik The Reader.

As usual though, the best part of this episode is diving deeper into the folds of our guest (eww). Jon doesn’t disappoint as we talk hockey, cheese fries, and all things nerd. So sit back and enjoy Khalasar.

Episode 118: Sphinxes, Dragons, and Darker Things featuring Lo Nov 29, 2021

In Episode 118, Lo the Lynx joins the Fingers of Davos to follow Pate through the twisty and misty streets of Oldtown to meet his fate during the AFFC prologue. But first we learn about Oldtown, Pate's infatuation with Rosey, and about his “friends” as well, including one Sphinx: Alleras. Pate has been up to no good to obtain a single Golden Dragon so that he can make Rosey "his" (blech, I just threw up a little in my mouth), committing a crime that has his future looking pretty murky.

But our guest from the Khalasar has been up to LOTS of good as they bring the expert analysis we knew we could count on about Pate, yes, but lots of other things too as we got to know Lo quite a bit better. As usual, it was a joy!

In episode 117 we spend a majority of the time within Jaime's head as he stands vigil for his father's funeral. That is right, Tywin is dead and almost 200 pages later, we are still burying him. And he is stanky. But bloodrider Kyle is less than stanky, and he brings the analysis on this chapter like non other. From the brotherly relationship while Jaime is freeing Tyrion, to the ghostly father/son dynamics that show very clearly the power dynamic between Tywin and his children. This one goes deep on the feelings and emotions, so strap in.

As always, however, the best part of these episodes is when we get to know our guests a little better, so hold on to your hats and enjoy as we all learn a bit more about Dent and how he found the fandom!

Episode 114: Goldenhand the Just featuring Linsea Aug 23, 2021

Matt and Scad are fresh off of their summer break and ready to invade your ears once again with more Meet the Khalasar episodes. For episode 114, we are joined by bloodrider Linsea to discuss Jaime III of A Feast for Crows. In this episode we get to travel with Jaime through the Crownlands and Riverlands. But we have a place of high honor for the journey: right between his ears in his noggin. And its a good thing we are, because there is a lot of change and growth goin on in there as Jaime confronts his sister about the mission in general, treats with Lords and Ladies, and tries to pick up the pieces from his family’s general destruction of the countryside. Oh, and he learns to fight too!

We also spend some time getting to know doc Linsea as well! A bloodrider from the days of yore, Linsea weighs in on the Gymternet, her vast petlife, and her favorite things about ASOIAF. So come settle in and get to know one hell of a lady.

Episode 112: Arming the Faith with Aaron May 03, 2021

Continuing on with the Meet the Khalasar series, Matt and Scad chat with Aaron for Episode 112, in which we talk some Cersei, some Fire and Blood history, and some Margaery speculation. It is Cersei VI of A Feast for Crows in which Cersei does some snooping to catch Margaery in a bad way and spars with the new High Septon to get Tommen blessed by the Faith. Episode 111: Death and Disquiet featuring Marcus Apr 12, 2021

Marcus joins the Fingers for this episode covering one of his favorite chapters: A Ghost in Winterfell. However, Stannis has Melisandre, a priestess of R’hllor, on his side and is willing to resort to...other methods. We spend the other half of the episode learning about our friend Justin. A family focused lover of Batman and Star Wars, Justin fits right in!

Episode 107: The Tale of the Liddle Crannogman with Katrina Jan 18, 2021

In episode 107, bloodrider Katrina joins Matt and Scad to discuss Bran II from A Storm of Swords. In this chapter we get the legendary story of the Knight of the Laughing Tree, but so much more. Episode 103: What if Jaime Hadn't Pushed Bran? Oct 12, 2020

In Episode 103, we delve into a world in which Jaime does not toss Bran from a window, a lighter timeline...maybe. In this timeline Jaime intimidates Bran into silence. Bran goes south, Jaime is not a child murderer, and the 3-eyed crow has to make some choices. This change obviously has huge impacts on Bran and Jaime as people, their arcs completely change. But surprisingly, the Fingers think lots of things might actually stay the same.

Dany has been so isolated from the events of Westeros that they have continued on largely without influence from her, and we assume they do still. The fingers of Davos tackle the question: What if Oberyn Martell had defeated Gregor Clegane during Tyrion’s trial by battle? How would court life look with a healthy Oberyn gumming up the works? Tyrion is free, but is he though? Does Tywin still die? The “grass” in Dorne is still hiding its “viper” in this timeline, what does that mean for the Dornish plot that we see in the later books?

We will be continuing on with another fun What-if episode in 3 weeks. So come ready to relax as we take a walk through a Westeros that has a little bit of a different feel!

Matt and Scad will then spend the episode untangling how George’s world would have been different if crucial moments had gone just a little bit differently. So, get your headphones on and listen in as we ponder what would have happened if Rhaegar had defeated Robert Baratheon on the trident. Would dragons have entered the world? What would the Stark children’s lives look like? Does Rhaegar make sure the three heads of the dragon are fulfilled with his two sons? And maybe most importantly….who does Cersei marry? Episode 098: The Desire to be Free May 11, 2020

In episode 98 the Fingers of Davos explore the most impressive of the free cities: Pentos, Braavos and Volantis. These are perhaps the most different cities from each other as you can get. Braavos, the poster-child of anti-slavery starkly cast against Volantis powered by slaves at a ratio of 5-to-1, with Pentos in between, pretending not to be pro-slavery but embracing everything it entails. One that denies its Valyrian roots, one that holds itself as the Valyrian standard, and one that embraces its roots, but also fine with mixing with other cultures. Such a fun set of differences to cover. We also spend some time in Valyria itself, talking about its current state, and whether it is as dangerous as it seems.

In three weeks we are moving to a bit of a format change, so get psyched for Davos’ Fingers madness. Nothing to read on your end, nothing to prep. We are getting back to ASOIAF proper, with a series of episodes called “What If”. Specifically in this case: What if Rhaegar had defeated Robert on the Trident? So get ready for some zany analysis about what would have gone differently had Robert not caved in Rhaegar’s chest.

In this episode, the Fingers start exploring the Free Cities. We wander the mazes of Lorath, try to avoid the lumber-rich mysterious forest of Qohor, and ascend the Sinner’s Steps in Norvos. But this episode isn’t complete without a tour of the Quarrelsome Daughters. Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh are near mirror images of each other, but can’t get along, we talk about that too.

Episode 095: Asshai Where the Shadows Lie Mar 02, 2020

The Fingers of Davos gain a third tonight as Chloe of Girls Gone Canon joins the cast to talk The World of Ice and Fire. Our first episode covering this tome, and it is a doozy. From the Shivering Seas frozen in legend to the mystical walkers of the Ifeqevron, the Fingers (and Chloe) dive into some of the lesser known parts of Essos. Then they cross the Bone Mountains and explore the empire of Yi-Ti and east to Asshai by the Shadow. Not much is known of these strange lands by the Maesters of the Citadel, but speculation from the Fingers is not in short supply.

We have started our coverage of The World of Ice and Fire. As is our wont, we are doing it a little differently. We were very excited to jump ALL the way East, so we started at the end and will work our way back for a bit. We will be working our way back for the next episode including coverage of the Dothraki! Episode 094: Targaryen Family Values Feb 10, 2020

In Episode 94 we get into some good old-fashioned family values...well, Targaryen Family Values. They are a little different. Highlights Include: drunken midnight rides through the city, kissing clubs, uncles that are younger than their nephews, ostracization, forced marriage. Also in this episode is more deaths, especially in the birthing bed, but more births also...uh...from the birthing bed. And as it does for us all, death comes for Alysanne and Jaehaerys. We also answer some questions from Bloodriders and play a fun Targaryen Name Game. Enjoy!

Episode 093: Good Queen Alysanne Jan 20, 2020

The boys forge ahead through Fire and Blood in Episode 093: Good Queen Alysanne. In this episode Jaehaerys and Alysanne face tragedy as the Shivers bear down on Westeros. They also make a progress up north where the winter’s cold and Alaric’s hospitality is the same. Also, Alysanne flexes on her husband to end a sacred right to the Lords of Westeros, while Jaehaerys uses some windfalls of capital to improve infrastructure for his Kingdom.

In this episode we wanted to mention that we had a few audio issues in our recording. In truth Matt was a hero in salvaging some spots. We regret this departure from our normal level of quality and thank the Khalasar for their understanding.

This is our second to last episode of Fire and Blood as our bizarre journey through that tome winds to an end. After we polish that off, we will be jumping straight into some more ASOIAF, hand-picking sections from The World of Ice and Fire. As is our custom, we aren’t going to make it easy, actually starting with the section called “The Bones and Beyond”, which covers lands to the East, like Asshai. Episode 092: Gods That Give, Gods That Take Dec 16, 2019

The Stranger has come in the year of 54 AC and the Fingers explore one of the biggest mysteries of Fire and Blood in Episode 092: the death of Aerea. We also lose another Queen, a High Septon, nearly a whole Queen’s court including her consort, oh and a Westhill...a what? Also, laws are written, progresses taken, High Septons appointed, and peace largely maintained during the years of Jaehaerys' early rule.

Episode 091: Doctrine of Exceptionalism Nov 25, 2019

In Doctrine of Exceptionalism, Matt and Scad finally see Jaehaerys mount the throne (among other things) as he reaches the age of majority, and changes, they are a’comin. Also in this episode, Rogar commits treason (or does he), Rhaena causes trouble (on both coasts), we get some new arrivals to the Targaryen family tree, and the crown continues its constant negotiation with the Faith regarding incestuous marriage.

Episode 086: Of Wolves and Hoods Jun 10, 2019

In Episode 086, Matt and Scad cover the early days of Aegon III’s rule under regency. But Cregan Stark has marched a LOOOONG way, and he isn’t about to let this go smoothly, effectively seizing control of the city to investigate the murder of Aegon II and to make sure the war is ended for good and all. Once the wolf is appeased, Tyland Lannister settles in as Hand, overpowers the regency, and starts to rebuild the kingdom, dealing with money issues, succession issues, and a new King that seemingly wants nothing to do with it.

Episode 085: The Dance - Dragons Die May 20, 2019

In Episode 85, Matt and Scad watch the dragons dance and we watch the dragons die. King's Landing rises up in a riot, driving Rhaenyra out, her support network in shambles as she searches for some way to regain control of Westeros. Meanwhile the Greens have their own problems with a major military setback at Tumbleton. The general disarray and discord that follows keeps the army from even reaching King’s Landing. Aegon retakes King’s Landing only to bungle it away himself. Dragons figurative and literal die in large numbers in this episode, so hang on tight!

In Episode 80 of the Davos’ Fingers podcast, we wrap up The Mystery Knight novella and the last of the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compilation as Dunk recovers from a bad outing at the tourney. He is forced to give up his sword, armor and horse, only to find he is also missing his squire. Episode 078: Seven Feet of Stubborn Dec 03, 2018

The Davos’ Fingers podcast finishes off the Sworn Sword in Episode 78 this week as Dunk parlays with Rohanne Webber, who confounds him in many ways and reveals an ugly truth about the man he represents. Upon confronting Ser Eustace about his questionable loyalties, Dunk and Egg are determined to leave his service on the morrow. But Dunk, ever loyal, just can’t betray this man in his need, and goes to Coldmoat with him to deal with the Red Widow. Another parlay and another failure means a trial by battle as Dunk fights for his lord’s stream, his pride, his smallfolk, and his future, not to mention Dunk’s own life.

“Who’s that Dragon” is replaced with “Who’s that Lion” this week as we focus on the Red Widow herself, Rohanne Webber. Then of course we finish up strong with Davos After Dark.

Episode 075: A Falling Dragon, A Shooting Star Oct 01, 2018

In Episode 75, Matt and Scad embark on a journey through A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a series of novelletes surrounding the wanderings and adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his bald squire known simply as “Egg”. In this first episode, Dunk buries his only friend, and the knight he squired for, and begins his own journey of knighthood. He makes his way to a tourney at Ashford Meadow, and is joined by Egg whom he takes as his new squire. From there it’s all about getting in the jousting lists, buying armor that will fit him as he is a beast of a man, flirting with a puppeteer, learning about his potential jousting foes, and trying to stay out of way of nobles and princes.

Davos After Dark is still a thing, though you will hear us prattle on and on about what actually is a spoiler in this context. In any event, we have done our best to avoid giving away any in-story spoilers in the main section of the cast, saving those for this special section at the end. Also, pay attention for “Who’s That Dragon?”, a new little feature that lets us dive into a single Targaryen per episode.

Episode 074: The Blood Before the Pain Jul 16, 2018

The Davos’ Fingers podcast has come to the conclusion of our Feast/Dance re-read in Episode 074: The Blood Before the Pain. Tears of joy and tears of sorrow. But we soldier on! In this episode Sam and Gilly reach Oldtown amidst Ironborn reaving. Kevan deals with a docile Cersei, quarrels on the small council, and a quarrel in his chest. There is unrest in Mereen as Barristan tries to calm the murder in the streets and maintain the peace outside the gates. Lastly, Daenerys stumbles away from her Dragon and vaguely in the direction of Mereen, but finds an old enemy instead.

Episode 072: A Good Day For a Death Jun 04, 2018

In Episode 72, The Fearless Fingers spend some time in and around Mereen as Hizdahr gets ahead (get it?), Quentyn sets up an alternate route to accomplishing his goals, and Victarion goes on the warpath, capturing ship after ship. Meanwhile, Asha braves the cold, a poor suitor, and some grisly pre-dinner entertainment and is rewarded with a reunion. Finally Arya earns her stripes and changes her spots.

Also, Theon and Jeyne take a leap of hope for a chance at a real life outside Ramsay’s clutches, Jon brokers peace with Tormund’s Freefolk while struggling to maintain peace in his own ranks, and Cersei confesses her sins...some of them...sort of.

Episode 062: Blind Gods Sep 11, 2017

First we meet the company of the Windblown, a company of sellswords hired to fight with Yunkai that also has our favorite little Dornish Prince. Next we get to crawl into the skins of perhaps the two most opposite Ironborn around, Victarion and Asha as they fight battles with very different outcomes. Tyrion is in Volantis, captured by Jorah Mormont, but given a ray of hope, and lastly Daenerys Targaryen comes to terms with a decision she has REALLY been wanting to avoid and she's doing it all for the betterment of the Meereenese.

After the pain dulls to a low throb and we get our bearings back, we start to wonder how all the moving pieces of the Red Wedding conspiracy fit together; who planned what? Who talked to whom first? Why did so-and-so agree to it? From Tywin Lannister to Roose Bolton to Sybelle Spicer to Walder Effin' Frey himself, the web of conspiracy is twisted and complicated. It was these questions and more that Matt set out to answer a few months back in the first ever written Davos' Fingers essay, "It Is Wolves I Mean To Hunt: The Motivations of the Red Wedding Conspirators".
