Episode 058 - Darin Epsilon - Live @ Avalon w/ Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren Dec 21, 2011

Show notes

The last Perspectives of 2011 features my opening set for Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren at LA's top nightclub, Avalon Hollywood. This was recorded live on December 17 using Pioneer CDJ2000 CD players and DJM900 mixer. Of course, nothing actually beats being there with the state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, but hopefully this will help make you feel like you were right there on the dancefloor.

Perspectives turns 5 years old this month! To celebrate this momentous occasion, we invited someone really special to provide the guest mix. That someone is Robert Babicz, a modern pioneer of electronic dance whose musical output is both inspiring and staggering. Producing hundreds of tracks under his own self-proclaimed Babiczstyle, it came as no surprise when Robert was invited to perform on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix with Pete Tong earlier this year.

Hour one features brand new music by Robert Babicz, Tom Middleton, Dousk, Kasey Taylor, Kassey Voorn, and more. In hour two we feature Denis A, the man behind the massive DAR Sessions in Moscow, using only tracks from his DAR record label. His signature tough and dark progressive house interweaved with rhythmic techno has received accolades from John Digweed, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Warren.

Making his debut on the program is highly gifted Dutch producer, Roger Martinez, one of your most requested artists on Perspectives. His exclusive 60 minute guest set leans heavily towards a Techno sound, although as he says, he prefers to keep his "musical crosshairs aimed at the full musical spectrum." 2011 saw the emergence of RogerMartinezLIVE, which consists of 100% Roger Martinez tracks. It comes as no surprise then that he was asked to join the prestigious GEM Bookings roster with his dynamic live show and impressive body of work.

Making his debut to the program is Perspectives Digital label artist Peter Golyan aka Lank. He is one of the most talented and sought-after Hungarian producers and DJs from the new generation. With his exceptional talent and consistently mind-blowing productions, I'm sure we'll be hearing his name more and more down the road.

Episode 053 - Part 2 - Eelke Kleijn - Live @ F Club in Slovenia Jun 15, 2011

Show notes

It's hard to believe the last time we had Eelke Kleijn on Perspectives was back in March 2007 for Episode 005! Over the past several months, I have received an overwhelming amount of requests from you to feature him on the show. So here he is... your most requested artist recorded live from his recent gig at F Club in Slovenia! Also featured in this episode is a 60 minute snippet of my opening set for James Zabiela at LA's top nightclub, Avalon.
