Walk With Me: The Expertise Amnesia That Makes You Feel Like a Beginner Sep 15, 2026
    Show notes

When you start something new, it’s easy to feel like a beginner.

I see this all the time with incredibly accomplished people. They leave the company, role, or career where they developed their expertise, and suddenly it feels like all that expertise stayed behind.

    I call this Expertise Amnesia.

In this Walk With Me episode, I’m inviting you to think about:

    • Why starting something new can make you forget how much expertise and experience you already have
    • How Expertise Amnesia can affect the way you talk about your work, what you go after, and even what you charge
    • What’s already on your “palette”: the experiences, wisdom, judgment, and natural gifts you get to bring with you into whatever you create next

You may be doing something you’ve never done before. But you are never starting from scratch.

What Do You Do When the Life You Built No Longer Fits - with Mark J. Platten Sep 01, 2026
    Show notes

How long have you been waiting for the right moment to start the thing that's calling you?

Mark Platten built a career most people would envy, first as an Air Force officer, then in academia and international consulting. Then one ordinary afternoon in his backyard, he heard one sentence that named what he already knew: you're doing good work in the world, it's just not your soul work.

Today Mark writes, leads men's work, and guides people through their crossroads, the place I call the goo. What makes this conversation rare is that he's sharing from the middle of it, not from the polished other side.

    We talk about:

    • The moment Mark realized he was living two different lives, and the two years he spent finding reasons to stay in the wrong one
    • The challenges and the beauty of shifting from doing what you should to doing what is calling to you
    • Two practices anyone can use to connect with their younger selves and the subconscious that's quietly running the show

Wired for Money with Michelle Masters Aug 18, 2026
    Show notes

What if money was never meant to be hard?

SPECIAL NOTE: Toward the end of this episode, Michelle Masters walks you through an actual practice to begin releasing the blocks you carry around money, so this is one to listen to when you can be still for a few minutes and let it land.

Michelle has spent three decades helping people understand why money feels so hard and where our blocks around money come from. Her answers are not what you expect.

The deepest blocks don't live in your bank account or your habits. They live in old childhood beliefs, in loyalty to the people you came from, and in your sense of what you quietly believe you deserve.

In this conversation, we talk about:

    • Why the deepest money blocks are subconscious, and why working harder, budgeting, and affirmations so often fail to move them
    • How family and ancestral loyalty quietly caps what you let yourself earn and receive, and how to spot it running in your own life
    • A reframe that can soften years of money guilt, plus the guided practice Michelle walks you through to begin releasing those blocks

    And much more.

This is a conversation about telling yourself the truth about what you really want, money included, and letting yourself create your next chapter without carrying everyone else's story on your shoulders.

Walk With Me: How Your Story About Your Past Shapes What You Create Next Aug 04, 2026
    Show notes

In this Walk With Me episode, recorded on the 37th anniversary of the day I arrived in the United States as a refugee, I share the shift I experienced when I began to tell my story through a different lens.

For years, I told the story of coming to the US as a refugee as one of overcoming struggle.

But when I looked at it through a different lens, that chapter reveal something I missed for almost four decades. Recognizing it has already expanded what I'm creating now.

In this episode, I'm inviting you to think about:

    • The story you're telling right now about your hardest chapter, and what it's quietly costing your next one
    • Why the same facts can shrink your future or expand it, depending on the lens you choose
    • What you were creating during the exact years you thought you were only surviving

Walk With Me: What Would You Do If You Had 10x the Courage? Jul 21, 2026
    Show notes

In this Walk With Me episode, I'm asking you the question I ask every keynote audience when we talk about envisioning new possibilities.

I've watched thousands of people answer it, and the same two feelings show up every single time. Most people treat the second feeling as a stop sign. It's the opposite.

In this episode, I'm inviting you to think about:

    - Why we stop envisioning new possibilities for ourselves

    - What the two feelings that show up when you imagine something new are telling you about your next

    - How to answer your brain when it demands to know exactly how you'll pull this off

The Skeptic's Guide to Surrender: Sam Kukathas on Collapsing Time and Creating From Ease Jul 14, 2026
    Show notes

For most of us, when we feel stuck, the instinct is to do more and try harder. Sam Kukathas built his whole practice on the opposite idea: that the life you want is already here, buried under everything you've picked up along the way.

Sam is a master of frequency attunement and the creator of Neuroresonance Optimization. He spent 13 years as a philosopher, with a doctorate in law at Oxford, living inside the head of an 18th-century Scotsman, before a series of unexpected awakenings led him to use his voice to help people quiet the mind and come home to themselves.

In this conversation we move through his darkest chapter and into what he calls collapsing time, and I even experience his sound work live on the episode.

    We talk about:

    • Why the harder you push to "figure it out," the more the answer stays out of reach
    • What surrender actually asks of you, and why it terrifies the high-achieving, analytical mind most
    • The difference between becoming someone new and unbecoming everything that was never really you

The Parts You're Hiding Are the Most Powerful Parts of You Jul 07, 2026
    Show notes

Somewhere along the way, you decided that certain parts of you don't belong in your work.

I made that same deal for most of my career: I kept my art, my spiritual practice, and other dimensions of who I am locked away from my professional life because I was afraid I'd lose credibility.

Then I made a decision that changed everything about how I work and live.

In this episode, I share the story I held back for years, including the book cover I deliberately chose so my art would blend into the background, and what happened at my Art of Expansion retreat when six women leaders experienced what I could only create by finally bringing every part of myself into the room.

    I talk about:

    • The dimension of yourself you've been keeping out of your work, and what all that filtering is quietly costing you in energy, ideas, and impact
    • Why the parts of you that feel like they "don't fit" are exactly what make you and your work distinctive
    • How to tell the difference between staying credible and staying small

And I leave you with a dare for the week. It's a little scary, but that’s the point!

Walk With Me: The Word Shift That Takes You from Self-Doubt to Self-Trust Jun 30, 2026
    Show notes

The words we use impact our feelings, choices, and actions more than we realize.

In this Walk With Me episode, recorded during my walk after leading my Art of Expansion retreat, I'm sharing a practice we did together that shifted the energy in the room immediately. It begins with something so simple it almost sounds like it couldn't possibly work. It does.

In this short, unedited episode, I'm inviting you to think about:

    • The words you're using right now to describe where you are and what they're costing you
    • Why the smallest language shifts can create the biggest internal changes
    • How to move from feeling helpless or lost into a place of real agency

Your Brain on Uncertainty: Why a Fully Predictable Life Would Actually Be Terrible Jun 23, 2026
    Show notes

Imagine a world where nothing unexpected could ever happen to you. Every conversation, every outcome, fully predictable. Sounds peaceful, until it doesn't.

In this episode, I share a thought experiment neuroscientists call the Dark Room problem, and what it reveals about a strange contradiction in all of us: we say we hate uncertainty, yet we seek it out constantly and even pay for it.

The science of why explains something powerful about what your brain actually rewards you for, and why waiting to feel certain before you start something new means skipping the best part.

Your Someday Dream Is a Today Calling: My First Art Show at 50 Jun 16, 2026
    Show notes

What if you never have to feel ready to start the thing you most want?

For my 50th birthday, I dared myself to have my first big international art show, with no gallery and no idea how I'd pull it off, after a decade of quietly painting in my basement and calling it "just a hobby." Here's how it happened, and what it taught me about creating your next: you decide what you want, then take the first small step.

In this episode, you'll learn how to:

    • Start the thing you want before you feel ready
    • Claim your calling out loud instead of calling it "just a hobby"
    • Move through the fear of being seen as your true self
    • Take the first small step when you don't have a plan

You don't need a plan or permission to begin. You just need to decide what you want and take one small step toward it.
