INTERVIEW | Former EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland on Working Under Trump and Foreign Policy Wins Nov 04, 2022
    Show notes

President Donald Trump’s greatest foreign policy achievement was the Abraham Accords advancing peace in the Middle East, says Gordon Sondland, who served as ambassador to the European Union under Trump.

"I think the strategy behind the Abraham Accords was you can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result," Sondland says.

The Abraham Accords is the formal term for agreements to normalize relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors, including the United Arab Emirates and Morocco and later Sudan and Morocco. It is viewed as a historic victory for peace in the Middle East.

In his new book “The Envoy: Mastering the Art of Diplomacy with Trump and the World,” Sondland discusses Trump’s biggest diplomatic moves and what it was like working with the president behind closed doors.

Sondland joins this episode of “The Daily Signal Podcast” to talk about his book and his relationship with the former president.

INTERVIEW | Teacher Peter Vlaming on Being Fired for Refusing to Use 'Preferred' Pronouns Nov 03, 2022
    Show notes

Peter Vlaming believes words have power, a conviction that cost him his job.

Vlaming was fired from his position teaching French at West Point High School in Virginia in 2018 for refusing to call a female student by male pronouns.

Vlaming said he was essentially given the option to either “deny” his own “Christian belief, in order to stay in the school system,” or stand and fight.

“Sooner or later, you have to say, ‘No, I'm not going to do that,’” he said, a decision that cost him his teaching career.

Vlaming sued the school board, and now, the Virginia Supreme Court will hear Vlaming’s case on Friday.

Vlaming and Caleb Dalton, senior counsel at the Alliance Defending Freedom, join "The Daily Signal Podcast" to discuss the significance of the case and what the court’s decision could mean for the free speech rights of teachers.

INTERVIEW | Jake Denton on Elon Musk and What May Change at Twitter Under His Leadership Nov 02, 2022
    Show notes

It finally happened. After months of "maybe, maybe not," Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. Now the question is, what happens next?

In the past, Musk said he thought Twitter should follow the same free speech laws that exist within America’s public square, says Jake Denton, a research associate with The Heritage Foundation’s Tech Policy Center. The indication from Musk is that “he will stick to that,” Denton says.

Denton, who is currently locked out of his own Twitter account, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain why he is cautiously optimistic about Musk’s takeover of Twitter and to describe the changes that might be coming to the social media platform.

INTERVIEW | Fe Bencosme on Why ‘Race Does Not Exist’  Nov 01, 2022

“Strictly speaking, race does not exist,” Fe Bencosme says.

Bencosme, author of the new book “You Are Not Your Race: Embracing Our Shared Humanity in a Chaotic Age,” says she knows her writings on race will offend people, but the reality is “there's no black race, there's no white race, there's no yellow or red race. These are ideas that were literally created by some taxonomist a very long time ago.”

Bencosme joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to share her own story of struggling with the topic of race, and to explain why she thinks Americans have become so obsessed with it.

INTERVIEW | The Great Reset, Explained by Michael Walsh Oct 31, 2022
    Show notes

Just a few months after the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world and prompted governments to impose draconian lockdowns, a group of global elites introduced what is known as the Global Reset.

Championed by the World Economic Forum—host of the posh Davos, Switzerland, meeting for the jet-setting crowd—ideas connected to the Great Reset were embraced by the likes of President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and King Charles III.

“We need nothing short of a paradigm shift, one that inspires action at revolutionary levels and pace,” then-Prince Charles said in a video launching the project in June 2020. “We simply cannot waste any more time—the only limit is our willingness to act, and the time to act is now.”

What exactly is the Great Reset? And how would it radically transform our civilization as we know it? Michael Walsh, editor of “Against the Great Reset: Eighteen Theses Contra the New World Order,” answers those questions and more. Walsh, a novelist, author, longtime contributor to Time, and founding editor of Breitbart, assembled an all-star lineup of authors to produce the book.
