Cwic Walk 8-12-22

Free speech advocacy has moved from the left to the right. How and why did this happen?

K-12 will move very quickly to an environment unreasonable for reasonable parents. Each year will gain momentum, and the curve will increase.

Google is the new parent, and we are now rearing Google Babies. Kids, both young and adults, are turning more to Google than their parents for advice. This creates a large divide on spiritual issues.

Spiritual Survival & The Therapy Gospel Jul 27, 2022

Are Healing and Consolation All The Gospel Offers?

A pendulum swing has occurred in Latter-day Saint culture. We have moved from high-demand, high expectations in the pursuit of the gospel to "healing" and focusing on crisis, anxiety, and consolation. But what is the message of the Gospel and the purpose of the Atonement? Is there an ideal beyond Spiritual Survival and a perpetual cycle of "woundedness?" Is our culture moving more toward a "Therapy Gospel?"

There is an ideal that the Plan of Salvation placed affords us. It is attainable, and it is worth it. It goes far beyond Spiritual Survival and being healed. It is the opportunity that God has given us to become like Him, to inherit all that He has, and to fulfill the measure of our creation.
