Is it time for parents to get their children out of government run schools that teach them values that are the contrary to what is taught at home? This is the hot topic that is raging across the country that we discuss on this week’s episode of CURE America with Star Parker. Ninety percent of the nation’s K-12 students attend public schools. Over the last years, as parents became more aware of what is being taught to their children, a new movement has been awakened and parents are not only challenging what is being taught to their children, but are looking for policy solutions that would allow money to follow children to the school’s parents want. Whether it is Critical Race Theory, transgenderism and sex education, or other value systems that contradict traditional values on race, marriage, family and life, the union-controlled education system is being challenged. Even though Biden aggressively pushed for abortions across Africa, many African nations stood strong against this pressure and enacted laws to prevent the spread of abortion in their countries. CURE did its part in helping these courageous leaders and communities protect life and reject the imposition of foreign values. These nations took decisive actions to reinforce their restrictive abortion laws, resisting external pressures, including those from the Biden Administration. In 2021 and 2022, countries like Malawi (2021), Ghana (2021), Zambia (2021), Kenya (2021), Tanzania (2021), Nigeria (2021), Uganda (2021), Ethiopia (2021), and South Sudan (2022) stood firm in their commitment to protecting life. Worse, they argue it’s good for the poor, suggesting that their children are better off dead than being born into poverty. Ambassador Haley’s remarkable life as the daughter of an immigrant is only surpassed by her amazing career in public life. She shares many of her experiences with our pastors and especially the heart-wrenching story of the aftermath of the horrific shooting in a Charleston church where nine African Americans were killed during a Bible study. Gov. Haley served as governor and brought together faith leaders, community leaders and legislators to help the community come together in forgiveness and healing after this racist act.

While homelessness becomes a serious issue in many cities across the nation, we brought together some of the country’s top policy leaders to explain why this is happening and offer solutions to this growing problem. Dr. Robert Marbut, former Executive Director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness; Michele Steeb, Senior Fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation; Frank Moncher, Executive Director of Catholic Charities in Arlington, VA; and Michael Tanner, Senior Fellow at the CATO Institute lead this important discussion.

“What ails us, as a society, is the fact that we are falling away from God,” stated former Attorney General of the United States, William Barr, at the Center for Urban Renewal & Education’s annual National Policy Summit this week in Washington D.C. The 3-day event brought together some of the nation’s top policy leaders with more than 60 pastors from all over the country who are part of CURE’s clergy network. At the summit, these faith leaders learned about key policy issues, collaborated with fellow pastors and were equipped to take the solutions back to their churches and communities. On last week’s episode of CURE America with Star Parker we delved into a very important topic - the “T” in the LGBTQ agenda. Transgenderism. When a person physically changes his or her body through medical treatments, surgeries, hormone therapy and other drugs to change their gender.

We just touched on this troubling new trend in our society and discussed the terrible impact especially on children who have been told its “ok” and are being pushed into these life altering surgeries and medical treatment, denying the scientific and Biblically based reality of creation.

In Episode 2 of “Transgenderism v. Transformation” we explore with a board-certified physician, Dr. Andre Van Mol, the medical treatments and therapies being prescribed to men and women and children to alter their bodies in such a dramatic way. Ironically, the Biden Administration is hosting a global “Summit for Democracy,” even while the administration continues to threaten liberty here at home. Liberals are continuing to push, more and more, for governmental control and intrusion into our everyday lives. Through this summit, its purported meaning, and the continued actions by those on the Left, it’s clear that this reflection is lost on the Biden administration.

The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case out of Mississippi that makes abortion after 15 weeks illegal in that state. A case like this hasn’t been heard by the Supreme Court for many years, and presents the possibility of ending legalized abortion in our lifetime. The true issue at the heart of this case is this – is life sacred? If the answer is yes, it is sacred in and out of the womb. If we conclude it is not, we are on the road to becoming a nation without children, where the only love is self-love. It’s now on the Supreme Court to make the right decision and allow Mississippians to protect sacred life.
