Lindsay Clancy Holdout Breaks Silence: "I Didn't Have Any Doubts" | Crime Talk Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

The lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial is finally speaking for himself.

Michael Desronvil says he "didn't have any doubts" about his belief that Lindsay Clancy was criminally responsible — directly challenging accounts from other jurors following the 11-1 deadlock and mistrial.

    Also today on Crime Talk:

Bryan Kohberger's family publicly backs his effort to withdraw the guilty plea that sent him to prison for four murders.

The disturbing Philadelphia "House of Horrors" investigation expands, with seven missing women now connected to one property and investigators believing five may be dead.

A Florida mother and her adult son are charged with incest after investigators say she admitted the sexual relationship happened "about 100 times."

And in Colorado, the Chief Justice has paused the presumption of livestreaming criminal court proceedings statewide for 90 days — despite a state statute requiring remote public access and expressly limiting the judiciary's ability to narrow those requirements. Scott breaks down the legal conflict and the separation-of-powers question it may create.

Patrick Clancy Speaks — Holdout Says Lindsay Was Guilty From Day One Sep 17, 2026
    Show notes

Patrick Clancy is speaking publicly as major new developments continue to emerge from the Lindsay Clancy trial.

Patrick will appear on 60 Minutes this Sunday alongside his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, discussing his grief, his children Cora, Dawson and Callan, the mental health issues surrounding the case and the conspiracy theories that have targeted him since the trial.

At the same time, the lone holdout juror is now pushing back against the other eleven jurors. According to the journalist who interviewed him, the holdout says he believed Lindsay was criminally responsible from the beginning and denies ever telling the jury that he had reasonable doubt.

We break down what he said, how it conflicts with accounts from other jurors and whether his comments could create additional questions about what happened inside that jury room.

    Also on today's Crime Talk:

    • Ohio "House of Horrors" mom Elizabeth Siders faces new felony sex charges as questions continue about her mental competency and a possible pregnancy.

    • Former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn goes on trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn.

    • A West Virginia woman is accused of leaving her seriously ill husband on a toilet for approximately 19 hours before his death.

    • An NYPD officer is accused of stealing a safe containing nearly $50,000 in cash and jewelry — and then allegedly using police databases to follow the investigation into himself.

Plus: Legal History, our Legal Quote, and today's Dumb Criminal.

Lindsay Clancy Hires Karen Read Attorney — Can He Stop a Retrial? Sep 16, 2026
    Show notes

A major new development in the Lindsay Clancy case: veteran Boston attorney Martin Weinberg, who previously represented Karen Read in her double-jeopardy fight, has joined Clancy's defense team for the legal battle over whether she can be tried again. Kevin Reddington is also continuing his effort to have the case resolved without another trial following the 11-to-1 deadlock over criminal responsibility. We break down what Weinberg's involvement means, what the defense is trying to accomplish and why the September 29 hearing could become one of the most important dates in the case.

We'll also update the case of Corie Walsh, the Illinois mother accused of killing her 2-year-old son, as her attorneys reject suggestions that the case was somehow inspired by Lindsay Clancy. Then we head to Florida for Day 3 of the Tomasz Kosowski murder trial, where prosecutors are presenting surveillance, blood evidence and video connected to the disappearance of attorney Steven Cozzi — while Kosowski continues representing himself in a death-penalty bench trial.

Plus, social media influencer Gabriela Gonzalez, her father and her ex-boyfriend have pleaded not guilty in an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting singer Jack Avery. Prosecutors allege the alleged plot developed during a bitter custody dispute and included discussions about making Avery's death look like an accident.

Scott Reisch breaks down the evidence, the legal issues and the latest developments — plus Legal History, today's Legal Quote and another Dumb Criminal.

Now defense attorney Kevin Reddington says he intends to ask the court to dismiss the case on double-jeopardy grounds.

Reddington is also publicly defending Patrick Clancy against conspiracy theories surrounding the deaths of his children.

We also cover another disturbing case with an unexpected Lindsay Clancy connection: Illinois mother Corie Walsh is accused of killing her 2-year-old son after prosecutors say she had been intensely following the Clancy trial.
