143. Cock Lane & Mike Williams pt. 2 Jun 22, 2023

Show notes

Do not be a mirror, be an energy laundering queen besties!! PERIOD! Happy Thursday!! Today Morgan starts us off by covering the Ghost of Cock Lane... yes, we know it sounds kind of dirty, but that is because IT IS! A 1700s Loan Officer seems to carry a curse that causes every woman he has ever loved to die, while also getting scammed time and time again! Before he knows it, Will finds himself at the center of a paranormal investigation from the Scratchy Fanny, but we prefer the underground shoemaker DJ of Cock Lane! Find out why Aunt Mary continued to lose it, and five people went to jail for defamation before you tell us what the heck you think was going on down Cock Lane! Taylar then wraps us up with the final part of Mike William's case after leaving us on a massive cliff hanger last week! After 18 years of searching for the truth, his mother, Cheryl was able to "make a deal with the devil" (as according to Investigators that made the deal for her) in order to bring her son justice and learn the TRUTH of what happened all those years ago! WE LOVE YOU, BESTIES! Next week is Tay's 25th Bday ep, so be prepared for some season 1 level unhinged "cases"! BYEEE! Yo Yo Yo and Happy Thursday Besties!!! Lots to catch up on and plan for like: Tay’s bday and italy trip, outdoor showers, New York/Canada air quality, and other little rambles in between before we kick off this episode! Morgan starts us off by covering the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon Landing Story and Conspiracies! Who knew that going to the moon could be so stressful? (sarcasm) Was this real or fake? What do you think? PS which astronaut would Taylar and Morgan be? Armstrong or Buzz. Taylar then covers Part 1 (I know I am sorry, just trust me, okay?) of Mike William’s case from Lake Seminole, FL December 16, 2000. A case that went from a disappearance to a suspicious missing person, to a full blown murder investigation when a kidnapping that took place 16 years later brought all of the hidden truth to light in a whirlwind of events and the pressure from Mike’s amazing mother, Cheryl! 138: Elizabeth Cochran Seaman "Nellie Bly" & Barbara Gayle Stoppel May 18, 2023

Show notes

We've got a really interesting episode for you all this Thursday, but of course we had to kick It off with a little catch up session on what's been going on and how we have been feeling about time! Especially after covering Missing Time!!! Morgan then dives into the story of Elizabeth Cochran Seaman, or Nellie Bly. The absolutely iconic female American Journalist that changed the world of journalism with her bold and passionate investigative reporting style when she posed as a patient in order to go undercover in the Women's Lunatic Asylum at Blackwell's Island (now, Roosevelt Island) and expose the brutal mistreatment of patients to the world when she published her piece "Ten Days in a MadHouse"! Elizabeth's work and passion paved the way for other female journalists, making it possible for us to do what we love today- podcast reporting! Taylar then covers the Winnipeg case of 16 year old Barbara Gayle Stoppel who was found unconscious in the bathroom of her work place on Dec. 23, 1981 after many witnesses reported seeing a "cowboy" in the shop alone with her moment's prior. This case has caused so much confusion and seems to be clouded with corruption, wrongful convictions, and so many questions as to why someone would have done this to Barbara. Taylar's main source for this segment was BarbStoppel.com and Andrew Mikolajewski's book "Stoppel", which is available on the website. Time is flying by a lot faster these days, it seems. Be sure to take some moments to yourself and be present with those you love! But- you all are still grounded until further notice! Love ya!
