Show notes

Happy Thursday Besties! As we have discussed in TBB, we are now entering the Pre-Recorded Era while Morgan lives her best life in Hawaii! With that being said, we are a little behind the times with our Grammy chats, but OH WELL! This week, we have something extra special for you, in addition to Morgan's special Birthday Code with Susan (code and contact information can be found below)!

We have partnered up with one of our favorite besties, Kate, to tell the story of Sara Jane Manker- who was murdered in 1987 at her farm house in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Which Kate dedicated her senior project to at the Southern Storytelling Institute, creating a detailed and incredible documentary on Sara Jane's story and how her death impacted the Clarksdale community!

Kate's Short Film,"When Sirens Go Silent", is available to watch right now (CLICK HERE TO WATCH) and you FOR SURE should because YOUR TWO FAV PODCASTERS ARE IN IT!

Special Thanks to Kate for sharing her research with us, allowing us to be apart of her amazing film, and for her relentless dedication to telling Sara Jane Manker's story!

If you need to Call Susan WITH MORGAN'S SPECIAL BDAY CODE: CACPISCES, you schedule your appointment today by texting her at 704-562-3476 before the end of Pisces season for Morgan's Special Birthday Code!

Introducing BLINK - Jake Haendel’s Story. Heroin, Secrets. Deadly Betrayal. Feb 12, 2025

Show notes

Jake Haendel has been handed a death sentence. He has a terminal progressive disease that's eating away at the white matter of his brain. In six months, he'll be dead.

As the months progress, Jake slips into a coma, laying there in total darkness. But something odd has happened... Jake is fully conscious.

Nobody knows that he can hear them. They’re certain he's no longer in there.

With the promise that Jake will never recover, friends and family visit less and less. Until there is just one person left. A person who begins to whisper strange admissions in his ear.

It is here, helpless in his hospital bed, that Jake realizes what may have gotten him here in the first place. The scariest thing in the room is no longer the potential of dying, but rather, the person sitting right next to him.

This is Blink, the untold true story and survival of Jake Haendel.

227: Popper’s Poltergeist, Ashley Freeman & Lauria Bible Jan 30, 2025

Show notes

IT IS THURSDAY!!!! You know what that means- ya girls are feeling YAPPY! Our intro consists of the best and the worst of Dunkin, heart break when they take your favorite items off the menu, mangos, mango juul pods, and only God knows what else! Before long, Morgan begins to tell us the case of Popper’s Poltergeist. The 1958 Ghoul that terrorized the Herrman Family, along with Duke's Parapsychologist, the local Detective, the news, the public, and even random minsters with Swords that they stab in the ground dramatically to cleanse a house... look- we LOVE a drama queen. But, here's the catch- all this sh*t went down in ONE MONTH. Moving on... Taylar tells the horrific case of the Murders of Danny and Kathy Freeman and the abduction, torture, and murders of Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible from Welch, OK December 30, 1999. Which (only after 17 years of the Craig County SD, along with the OSBI, kicking rocks for shits and gigs and Tommy Lynn Sells, of course, having to throw his two cents in) was finally solved, thanks to a new sheriff kinda giving a shit!!! We will talk to you besties next week!! Love ya SO BIG!

226: Henry The Wizard & William Bradford Bishop Jr. Jan 23, 2025

Show notes

Happy Thursday Besties! This week we gotta do a recap on both Babygirl and the Tiktok Ban Scare that haunted us this weekend, before hoping into the crazy cross over cases that we have for you today! One thing is for certain and that is the fact that TAY AND MORG ARE SO SYNCED that they unknowingly dipped their toes in each other's worlds today!! Morgan kicks us off with Henry the Wizard Harrison and William Dove with the juicest courtroom drama from the chronically bored 1800s folks. Before Tay wraps up 226 with the case of man who is the combination of John List and DB Cooper from the 1970s. Click HERE to check out the Letter from Bankston to Bishop.

Thanks for joining us this week, talk to ya on Tuesday! If you feel so inclined, please leave us a 5 star review as a little kiss on the cheek! Love ya, BYE!

225: Moon Eyed People & The Dardeen Family Murder Jan 16, 2025

Show notes

Happy Thursday Besties! In the intro we have a very VERY important question for the Healthcare workers- how tf do we tell you we are sick as the reason for needing an appointment, without sounding like BABY BACK BITCHES?!?!?!

Once we get our Dr. Pep Cream Sodas, Morgan kicks off episode 225 with the ever requested case of the Moon Eyed People of Appalachia!!!!!!! Which some how leads into the longest ever ramble/tangent on Genetics and how tf they have evolved and how we wish we wouldn't have to go back to school to be able to actually study genes.. Dear God, Sorry. LMFAO

But eventually, Taylar will tell us an absolutely horrific case that we honestly recommend you hold off on if you're not in the space for it. This is the 1987 Ina, IL Murder of the Dardeen Family- which she promised to come back to TWO YEARS AGO when it came up in episode 123... So here we are, fulfilling promises. Please be sure to listen to the Trigger Warnings before continuing on.

Welp- That's all we got for you today, Besties! Thanks for hanging out and we can't wait to talk to ya on Tuesday for TBB! Love ya so much, Bye!!!!!!!!!!!
