Marisa Anne Cummings, a Los Angeles based artist + author + entrepreneur, actually started the Creative Thursday podcast in 2006. What? what! how is that even possible? And yes! she wishes she had kept it going after all these years. Yet as a small business owner, maybe you can relate? choices needed to be made, and a passion for painting and continuing to build her art business became her focus. Cut to over a decade later, armed with SO many more lessons learned, and a – can no longer be suppressed – desire to share them with you! Marisa is ready to make a return to one of the first creative mediums she loved, podcasting! Even more fired up than before, Marisa is looking forward to picking up where she left off on her creative journey through both – one her favorite things to do – having thoughtful, inspiring, keeping it real, conversations with fellow Creatives + Business Owners along with offering her own perspective as an artist and entrepreneur, traversing this online world. Do you think you may have found your voice but you're just too close to the work to see it?

Or is it because you're emerging that you automatically assume you don't have a voice yet?

Could it be that your work needs a more consistent practice to fully develop into a unique + elevated offering?

What's my love of cooking a good meal + sourcing the majority of my food locally have to do with running my business?

After spending 3 days in a Mastermind surrounded by some amazing business owners - the kind who are "crushing it" daily, growing to 6, even 7 figures within one calendar year ~ the concept of the slow food movement popped into my mind.

As they vulnerably shared their experiences of what that kind of growth really meant for them, I came away from that gathering with a whole new insight and understanding around what I want for my business and how it can support the life I want ~ not the other way around.

Recognizing my date with burnout is coming dangerously close, if I don't make a change ~ this is the new approach to growing my business that I'm thinking about…

Working backwards, that means that without clarity your days are driven by a state of confusion and overwhelm which is also what I call living on a hamster wheel.
