My guest this week is the great Lew Rockwell. Lew is the founder and chairman of the Mises Institute, as well as the creator of the great news site, LewRockwell.com. We discuss a variety of topics including Lew's new book, "Against The Left: A Rothbardian Libertarianism".

Lew is a great representative of the hardcore Rothbardian brand of libertarianism, and we apply it to immigration, egalitarianism, and the dangers posed by the left, including the so-called "left libertarians". Lew also talks about coalitions that libertarians should strive to forge in the current climate. He was kind enough to email a list of the Mises and Rothbard books that he recommends. My guest this week is the president of the Mises Institute, Jeff Deist. Jeff and I discuss the themes within his recent article, "Politics Drops Its Pretenses" and his recent speech on how "meaningless words" create a narrative. Is "democracy" really a good thing? Do those who use it even know what it means? Are we best off when 51% of the voters force their will upon the other 49%? Is it realistic for libertarians to find the right presidential candidate that will win over a majority of voters in hopes to live in a libertarian society? What if secession and decentralization is the best way moving forward? We will hear the establishment tell us that "politics and voting will bring us together" and "democracy in action is a good thing". Why does it seem, then, that the further entrenched government becomes in our lives, the more divisive and at odds the country becomes?

My guest today is Joshua Smith. He is running for Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee. Josh is on the show to explain exactly why he is the guy for the job. The current chairman has embarrassed the Libertarian Party by demonizing many of the best libertarians out there. Up until I met Josh and interviewed him, I wasn't a renewing member of the Libertarian Party. However, his message inspired me to rejoin and fight to get him elected and the current chairman ousted. Josh is antiwar and anti Federal Reserve and those are a must, in my opinion, if you want to represent libertarianism.

My guest this week is Jack Hunter, writer at Rare, The Washington Examiner and more. We discuss his article, "Democrats Hate Tulsi Gabbard Because She Reminds Them What They Used To Stand For". Jack and I discuss the attacks that Tulsi is receiving from the likes of Hillary Clinton, CNN, NY Times and other pro-war establishment voices. Remember when the Democrats ran against wars in the Middle East? Now Tulsi is the only voice in the primaries speaking out against these forever wars that the US remains in and she is under fire from conventional pro-war mouthpieces. Have the neocons moved into the Democratic Party? Why are Democrats "anti-Trump" more than they are "anti-war"? Are most people tired of the claims from Hillary Clinton that everyone she hates is a Russian Agent? Let's hope so.

My guest today is, Cjay Engel, the proprietor of Bastion Magazine, formerly know as Austro-Libertarian magazine. We discuss the magazine name change and that gets us into a deeper discussion on libertarianism. Cjay and I talk about the identity crisis that libertarianism is facing and the problems that will arise going forward. Many left libertarians are happy to just be anti authority and libertines with no appreciation for Western traditions or culture. There seems to be a cultural war going on within politics and society in general and the libertarian movement is certainly not immune to it. The universalists and neocons have spread their message far and wide and people like Bill Weld and Nick Sarwark have infected the liberty movement with that virus. Bastion Magazine is taking a stance against that type of thick libertarianism and we here at Death To Tyrants couldn't agree more with Cjay. Share this episode. However, he's also very knowledgeable on the Waco Massacre of 1993 against the Branch Davidians. As always, he speaks with passion and clarity and compares what the government did in Waco to the same cover ups they tried regarding Sadam Hussein and the War in Iraq.
