Ep. 33: Wolfe Macleod (Wolfetone Pickups) Nov 20, 2019
    Show notes

This episode's guest is the one I've known the longest of any (so far), Wolfe Macleod of Wolfetone Pickups in Seattle WA. Wolfe and I grew up in the same small town and both left early in life, even as beautiful of a place that Granite Falls is. Wolfetone Pickups are hand built by Wolfe in his shop in North Seattle where he also houses his collection of swords, fantasy art, and Porsches. He's quite the fancy lad! Be sure to check out Wolfetone's Black Friday sale this year, spanning from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.

Ep. 32: Jon Sullivan (Sully Guitars) Nov 18, 2019
    Show notes

This episode's Couch Riffs guest hardly needs an introduction if you're a person in the guitar building community. Jon Sullivan of Sully Guitars has been around for years making guitars and friends in the guitar world because, well, he's really charming and likable. Oh, and he builds really killer guitars influenced by some of his favorite things: KISS, Randy Rhoads, Sparkles, and making sure something looks as cool as it is functional.

If you're enjoying the Couch Riffs Podcast please go to our website to find all of our video and podcast episodes as well as a link to our Etsy store where you can pick up t-shirt, hoodies, and trucker caps. Ep. 31: Robb Cappelletto Nov 14, 2019
    Show notes

This episode of Couch Riffs features Toronto-based guitar maniac, Robb Cappelletto. If you aren't familiar with Robb's brand of prog/jazz/rock writing and playing, do yourself a favor. Go find him on Spotify, iTunes, or band camp. He's a monster! And, we enjoyed a long conversation about his death metal roots and transition in to the jazz world. His new solo album, Double Red, is due November 21, 2019 and I would highly recommend giving it some spins.

If you're enjoying Couch Riffs please consider becoming a monthly pledge supporter. For as little as .99/month you can make a big difference and help the show maintain and gain momentum of guests and quality. Thank you! And, be sure to check out all of the podcast AND video episodes at couchriffs.com!

Ep. 30: Dallas Seger (Seger Guitars) Nov 11, 2019
    Show notes

This episode of the Couch Riffs Podcast features guest Dallas Seger of Seger Guitars out of Bangor, Maine. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, "The Seger YG model has the sickest carve you will find anywhere". I'll stand by that, too. Go check out his beautiful guitars online and on instagram and any chance you have to play one, take it.

Ep. 29: Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Hot Spring Water, and Big Scenic Nowhere) Nov 07, 2019
    Show notes

This episode of Couch Riffs Podcast features guest Tony Reed, the creator of one of my all-time favorite albums, Mos Generator's "The Late Great Planet Earth". If you've never heard this album, do yourself a favor and give it a spin with a good set of headphones on. I've included the link for you above. You won't regret it.

But, Tony is a busy man in the studio and on the road so to minimize his musical output to only this (amazing) album would not paint a complete picture. One of the more prolific artists I've known he has recorded and released dozens of albums by Mos Generator, Stone Axe, 12:30 Dreamtime, Hot Spring Water and recently has been collaborating with Bob Balch of Fu Manchu and Gary Arce of Yawning Man in the project Big Scenic Nowhere.

If you'd like to support The Couch Riffs Podcast please consider leaving a positive review and 5-Star Rating. AND, if you'd like to really support Couch Riffs you can visit our website couchriffs.com to see all of our video episodes and podcasts as well as navigate to our Etsy store to buy merchandise. Ep. 27: Derek Springer (Rola Amps and Union Jack Amps) Nov 01, 2019
    Show notes

This episode features guitar amp builder Derek Springer of Rola Amps in Tacoma, WA. If you've seen a rock show in Seattle in the last 8 years or so there is a pretty good chance you've seen and heard a Union Jack or Rola Amp delivering the goods. They're owned and played by a literal who's who of Seattle rock musicians and they certainly seem to be finding a wider and wider audience.

Be sure to go check out https://www.rolaamps.com to see their amp line-up or Instagram @rolaamps

the Pearl Jam video Derek mentioned that his amps appear in (and a Satellite Amp back-lined here!) : https://youtu.be/qQXP6TDtW0w

    Ep. 24: Kim Warnick (Fastbacks/Visqueen) Oct 09, 2019
    Show notes

This Episode of Couch Riffs Podcast we are SO happy to have our first woman and one of our favorites of all time: Kim Warnick of The Fastbacks. If you don't know Kim or The Fastbacks you're missing out. She's essentially the queen of Seattle punk rock and played bass and sang in Fastbacks from 1979-2001 before joining the amazing Visqueen along with another incredible woman musician, Rachel Flotard. Collectively Visqueen may have been the most well-loved band musically and personally in Seattle history.

Kim is one of the most fun and funniest humans I've ever known and I hope you enjoy this Couch Riffs Podcast episode.

If you're enjoying Couch Riffs please listen to all of the other podcast episodes that are available and check out the video performance episodes! AND, if you want to look your best while loving Couch Riffs check out our Etsy store for t-shirts, hoodies, LP slip mats, trucker hats, and patches. Any and all of your support is much appreciated!
