CORRUPTION: What happened to Grant Solomon?

On July 20, 2020, 18-year-old Grant Solomon tragically died in Gallatin, Tennessee; his body was found in a ditch underneath his own truck. In what was described as a freak accident, the details of Grant’s death remain unclear to many people. The only known witness was Grant’s father, Aaron Solomon*, a former Nashville TV News Anchor turned financial analyst. There was no investigation or accident reconstruction of the automobile fatality and shockingly NO autopsy; though there were many discrepancies between the official statement, the condition of Grant’s body, and the state of Grant’s truck. Join us as we investigate Grant’s odd and tragic death, with the goal of re-opening his case and getting Grant the justice he deserves. There’s more to this story than what meets the eye, and we’re currently uncovering some major red flags in Tennessee.

*Grant’s death has been ruled offically as an accident: Aaron Solomon has never been charged or arrested for any of the allegations made against him by his ex-wife or daughter.

    Show notes

The 'Justice for Grant' team had a great week as some very well-respected journalists (with a large following and endless resources) began their coverage on Grant's case. Fingers crossed! Plus commentary from retired FBI DOJ Agent & Author Kenneth Strange (A Cop's Son). Strange gives some great advice that has worked for him during his tenure: never give up on a case.

Plus, another TN mom speaks out about Grant, Gracie and Angie- it's incredibly powerful. Governor Bill Lee- HEAR US!

Shady handlings and more inconsistencies: the FUNERAL HOME Jun 08, 2023
    Show notes

This week's episode features Aolani Santiago, from "Stories from the Mortuary" podcast, who goes into detail about more inconsistencies with Grant's body and the medical/accident report; plus the shady handlings of the funeral home where Grant was held.

RECONSTRUCTION OF GRANT'S TIRES BY A LISTENER:
"The reports mention the tires were at around a 90° angle but upon my observation it looks that the tires were at a 30° angle. My father has the same truck and when I turn the wheels to match the picture it looked to be around 30 to 40 degrees.
The mathematics that I calculated DID NOT MATCH THE DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENT as shown below:
To determine the radius of the path created by a vehicle with its wheels turned at 30° to the right and rolling backward for a distance of 60 ft, we can use some basic trigonometry.
First, let's consider the turning angle of 30°. This angle represents the angle between the direction the wheels are facing and the direction the vehicle is moving. To find the radius, we need to determine the distance from the center of the turning circle (which is where the axis of rotation would be if the vehicle was turning) to the point where the wheels touch the ground.
To calculate this, we can use the tangent function, as the tangent of an angle is equal to the ratio of the opposite side to the adjacent side. In this case, the opposite side is the radius we want to find, and the adjacent side is the distance between the wheel and the center of the turning circle.
Let's assume the distance between the wheels (known as the wheelbase) is W. Then the adjacent side can be calculated using trigonometry as follows:
    Adjacent side = (W/2) / tan(30°)
Now, we can calculate the radius of the turning circle. Since the radius is half of the wheelbase, we have:
    Radius = (W/2) / tan(30°)
    RESULT:
If you are at a 30° wheel angle radius traveling backwards at 60 ft that would put you at a 30° radius. That means the truck did not go straight back and had to have been parked on the grass 30 ft to the side. That's the only way I could roll backwards at that angle. "
In terms of the VEHICLE actually moving in the ditch:
" When I took my vehicle out of PARK/Reverse when I left, I noticed that it was slightly difficult to change gears because of the incline. This leads me to believe that the only way that the vehicle could have held backwards is if somebody put their foot on the brake and pulled on the gear shifter with intent- this means it would be very difficult to change gears and for the car to roll if it was in PARK. When you are flat it's easy to change gears but not when I was in that parking lot."

**EDIT- we've removed the original interview to protect the student's privacy, and read part of her testimony instead**
A former student at Grace Christian Academy gives a testimony that had us fuming- she shares her experience with the administration, and how they allegedly attempted to silence Gracie Solomon after she came forward to report her abuse. They not only tried to allegedly silence Gracie, but her friends as well. And for a time… it worked. Gracie's father was and is continually welcomed at GCA*. If you’re wondering how this relates to Grant- let’s not forget, he allegedly also reported the abuse to the same organization. Allegedly, not one person did a damn thing.

**NOTE- the interview audio quality has some issues, which is why you hear the host's voice more than you'd probably like to hear it. We apologize in advance.
Tennessee Reporter Alex Willis joins us to share his experience in covering Grant & Gracie's story. We also acknowledge one name that keeps coming up- but is this person even important in getting Grant's case re-opened? Or getting Gracie her freedom? Or even getting Angie the justice that SHE so deserves? We can't figure out if he's a key player in the investigation... or just a distraction.

Dear Tennessee: You have failed Grant and continue to fail Gracie... May 11, 2023
    Show notes

It's safe to say that many people in Tennessee have failed both Grant and Gracie- simply by either doing nothing, or turning a blind eye to Gracie's cries. As we dig deeper into certain Tennessee laws, it's apparent that there are some major gray areas. Calls have been made and messages have been left (we're talking to you, Commissioner) -what do you have to lose in re-opening this case?

*CORRECTION: Gallatin Police Commissioner’s name is Don Bandy, not Blandy, as incorrectly pronounced on the podcast.
