Episode 771 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions.

    Questions in this Episode

    1. There's a quote from a famous Christian author that basically says, 'If you could have all the good things in heaven except for Jesus, could you be satisfied with heaven?' Some people use this as a test for whether or not a person is a Christian. Sometimes I'm afraid that I could be satisfied with a Christless heaven, since I don't love Jesus enough. Should this make me question my salvation?

    2. What does Paul mean in 2 Corinthians 12 when he talks about being taken up to the third heaven?

    3. How do we know when God answers our prayers when we pray to grow in wisdom? I know James talks about how we are to ask for wisdom and that we are to believe and not doubt, but where does the fruit come in that we recognize, "oh, that was God giving me wisdom"?

    4. Does God have a deadline, where we can no longer turn to him in repentance?

    5. What does Isaiah 42:3 mean when it says that God will not break a bruised reed?

    6. What does it mean in 1 Corinthians 5:9 not to company with fornicators?

    1. Is it ok for Christians to model professionally?

    2. I can't imagine singing worship songs for all eternity. Honestly, it seems boring. Is that wrong of me to think?

    3. I wrote to you a few months ago about having had a sex change and you gave me hope in Christ. But now I read in 3:16-17 that our bodies are "the temple of God," and to defile it is cause for destruction of the body. Does this mean that I will be destroyed, body and my soul? I have tried to live continuously for the Lord since being converted, but what does it matter if I live, pray, and obey the Lord if I'm going to hell?

    4. Does the Bible specify an age for adulthood?

    5. Is the COVID vaccine an issue of morality or Christian liberty?

    Questions in this Episode

    1. Why don't protestants make the sign of the cross before praying, and why are crosses in protestant churches bare, without the body of Christ on them?

    2. If we are new creations in Christ, should we still refer to ourselves as "sinners"?

    3. Why did God make the world?

    4. Did Jonah die in the whale and then resurrect like Jesus?

    5. Is it ok to pray for God to provide for me financially?

    6. I have a question about Philippians 4:19. I've heard that verse being used as a promise that God will meet all of our physical needs if we have enough faith in Him. Does God actually promise that somewhere in the Bible? In 2nd Corinthians chapter 11 Paul talks about his sufferings and how he experienced lack of food, water, and clothing and I don't understand why God allowed that.

    Questions in this Episode

    1. If John 7-8 are not in the original manuscripts, should we consider them canonical?

    2. I am a young mom with three young children. My question is, what happens if the Lord comes back when my kids are still too young to fully comprehend the gospel? What happens if the Lord comes back while I'm still pregnant? Will I have my baby in heaven?

    3. Should Christians be more familiar with the Book of Enoch?

    4. I am a nurse and am resisting my state's mandatory vaccine requirement. I think it may be the Mark of the Beast. What do you think?

    5. I was in a Bible study when someone asked about the actual meaning of repentance. Vine's expository dictionary says that it means "to perceive afterwards", "to have a change of mind." When I studied "repent" and "repentance" in Englishman's concordance, it seems like all the verses refer specifically to the act of salvation, as opposed to a Christian 'repenting' of sin after they're saved. Can you please help me out in understanding the correct idea and meaning of repent and repentance?

    6. What is the correct interpretation of the verses John 14:26 and John 16:13? Do they apply to Christians in general or do they only apply to the apostles (and the direct associates of the apostles) in relation to the the inspiration of the New Testament?

    3. My pastor only talks about how the "election was stolen" instead of talking about Jesus. What should I do?

    Questions in this Episode

    1. Will Christians also be judged at the Final Judgment?

    2. I am a middle aged Christian man who struggles with homosexual attractions though I am not engaging in relations with men due to my faith and convictions. I am not sexually attracted to women. I want to be an active member of a church community, but I can't handle the bombardment about getting married. I wonder if I should now get married anyway? I think I am prepared and would be okay living alone till death or my heart is changed miraculously. What should I do?

    3. How can we be sure that we are not in the group of people in Matt. 7:21-23—how can we be sure of our salvation if those who confess in his name and do miracles in his name won't also be in heaven?

    4. I am a new Christian and I haven't found a church home yet. Is it ok to tithe to a parachurch ministry in the meantime while I look for a church?

    5. In Proverbs 19:3, it reads: "When a man's folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against the Lord." How should we interpret this? I don't think it brings God glory to be angry with him when he lovingly disciplines and chastises us for foolish or sinful choices we've made, but if that's true, then what this verse is saying?
